ALTRAMen's Lone Peak 7 Trail Running Shoe

I will only buy this going forward
The Altra Lone Peak 7 lives up to the hype and then some. Right out of the box, the fit was excellent—true to size with that signature Altra FootShape toe box that gives your toes room to splay naturally. I wore them on a rugged trail within the first week and was blown away by the comfort and grip. The MaxTrac outsole provides great traction on everything from gravel to muddy inclines, and the updated upper feels more secure without sacrificing breathability. They’re surprisingly lightweight for how much support and protection they offer. Zero drop might not be for everyone, but if you’re used to Altra or transitioning into minimalist running, these are a great choice. After several miles, there’s no noticeable wear and the cushioning still feels responsive. Whether you’re a seasoned trail runner or just looking for a solid hiking shoe with all-day comfort, the Lone Peak 7 delivers. Worth every penny.

Best Trail Shoes. Period!
Hands down the BEST trail running shoes I’ve owned! Good grip, wide toe box, feels well built. Laces stay put (annoying when they come undone, like in my other pairs). Zero drop heel to toe! So far, I’ve done 2 walks and 2 runs of 2+ miles on (technical trails) and they feel great!! Wish there was just a little more cushion. It’s great when running over mud or softer trails, but can feel the rocks a tiny bit when I cross them. But overall - super! I am motivated to skip the gym or other workouts to go to the trails in these!!!! I got the tan pair - am ordering one more. Lots more running planned for this year!!😄😄

Wide toe box
Just received my second pair of these. The first pair is a year old and has become my yard/hiking shoes, while this new (clean) pair is for casual and office days. I love the low drop and the wide toe box.

Good shoe but has some downsides
It is comfortable and I got it mainly because of the wide toe box and it is not a barefoot shoe. But the insole feels cheap and along with that the tread wears away very quickly I have had this for 6 months and I will be running low on tread. Other than that it is a comfortable shoe and only gripes are those other than that it is very nice and my feet have all the space they need.

Super comfy shoe
Super comfortable shoe with great toe space don’t cramp your toes anymore. These shoes are awesome. The only downfall I would say is that they don’t last very long. They were down somewhat quick but overall super comfortable awesome shoe very happy.

Very comfortable in the heel and especially toe space
I've been a devoted Brooks fan for many years for walking but I decided to check these out. I am very pleasantly surprised at the comfort of these, and the toe room is fantastic. I tried the olympus 5 and found them to run small, and in any size I felt like I was walking out of the heel. A size 10 in Olympus 5 is similar to size 9.5 in this lone peak 7. I am usually between a 9 and 9.5 depending on the brand and style, so I do think altra runs slightly small. But I figured what works and I am sticking with lone peak in this brand.

Made my feet feel better
The media could not be loaded. This is my first real trail shoes and my friends told me to try it out since on inclines during our hikes my advertise “hiking” shoes and boots would hurt my foot. But they told me which I do get my shoes to try the older versions and I went with the 7ths Gen (main cause of the color to match my hiking bag, hat or beanie I wear haha)At first when I tried it out in a small trail my foot was still hurting, but after the 3rd day and wetting the shoes and let it stretch my foot started to not hurt anymore. And but 1 weeks and 60 total miles of walking with them they don’t hurt anymore. And my normal everyday shoes actually are the ones that hurt my foot now haha.I say give it a chance and I have yet to see how it holds up in the long run but as of now it does seem to work for me atleast.
