Very Effective
I've worn hearing aids for many years and the ear molds unfortunately encourage the retention of ear wax. Recently, after a hearing aid professional discovered a severe buildup I was interested in a home tool that would allow me to see for myself what was going inside my ears and prevent a recurrence. This Anykit camera is surprisingly effective and gave me exactly what I needed at a very reasonable price. You get the camera, covers, wax removal tool tips, and brief instructions. You'll also need to download and install the company's phone/tablet app in order to obtain the pictures and video from the camera. Straightforward enough, though if the app were to go away the camera would apparently be useless. Once up and running operation is very simple, just install the tip guard and carefully go exploring. Use caution and you can easily see close-up whether your inner ear is crystal clear or ready for candle making. The wax removal tips are a little trickier, not because they don't work, but because your inner ear is very sensitive and extreme caution and a steady hand are required to use them, so you may want to leave that part to a professional. Overall a great home health tool, especially for those prone to inner ear issues. No more guesswork or having someone else describe it, see for yourself!

this is a very small sealed camera worthy of being stuck in your ear nose and mouth.
This product worked as expected and is a good value. The design & quality is appropriate for being stuck in your mouth, nose, or ear to take pictures. Very slim and easy to use and clean. A good value at $25.00 I lost time however trying to find the right application. I was distracted because the applications I first attempted to use required android 11 and I was using android 10. However the Xscope application worked fine (after rereading the webpage and finding the name of the correct application). The app is minimal but sufficient, and allows taking the pictures and videos. There is one major design flaw: It is not possible to turn off the LEDs. This means that once you plug the device into your phone the LEDs will light as soon as the USB device is recognized and will stay lit until you unplug the device which presents an unnecessary load on your battery & drains it unpreventably. It would also be nice to have a replaceable lens cover & an angled lense for oral use.

Clear bright image and easy/fast setup!
I have worn hearing aids for over 25 years. Earwax is the #1 reason for hearing aid issues/problems. Keeping ear canals clean and wax free is a priority for any hearing aid user. I've always done a monthly cleaning using wax removal drops, but, never really went to the point of using an Otoscope to see how I did. The Anykit comes ready to plug in;... its chip has the app link, so when you plug it into your iPad/iPhone, it will immediately bring up the app needed and ask you to install it. So Easy! (I assume Android device setup will be similar). In using it, I found the images clear and well lit. Its as good as the one I've seen my Audiologist use! That said, my first ear inspection following what I thought was a thorough cleaning confirmed that I had to do better than that! I changed my technique to waiting 20 minutes or more for the drops to loosen up really old and embedded wax, plus, flushing out my ears multiple times with very warm water to completely flush out this debris. In summary, I should have purchased this or other similar Digital Otoscope a long time ago. Lesson learned. Don't buy the least expensive Dig Otoscope you can get. If the image is lower resolution, image is soft, not well lit, you won't happy with it nor be keeping it. For just under $30, for the easy setup, the great optical quality, plus the cleaning accessories and extra tips you get in this kit, I suggest not looking much further for one. This is a keeper for me for sure. 5 Stars all around!

Decent and reliable, better for eardrum exams than other models
We have two different otoscopes that work with phones one is wireless that run on wi-fi and the other is this Anykit unit. This is our go-to unit for a number of reasons. The connection with the phone is reliable, the video image is clear, and this unit does not have the ear cleaner permanently attached. Because of this, you can better visualize the ear drum, if necessary. It works great for exams. (The other wireless unit we purchased has the ear cleaner which extends past the camera and it's nearly impossible to visualize the ear drum.) Occasionally the image will get hazy or blurry. This means the camera needs to be cleaned. We use an alcohol wipe and a cotton swab to clean, then it's good to go! As far as ear cleaning is concerned, it performs "ok." The clip-on cleaners are tiny and can be hard to manage if you have large fingers or aren't particularly dexterous. Otherwise, they work once you get them attached. If they flex or wiggle while you're cleaning, you're probably applying too much pressure to the ear canal. This is a great item to have on hand if you have need to check ears on a regular basis, have a kid who has significant waxy build-up, or complains about having bugs in their ears. They can see on the camera that there are, in fact, zero bugs in their ears, just wax. Everyone gets to go back to sleep.

Low quality image, defective software
I was excited to receive the camera as we have been wanting to have a device like this in our pharmacy. Our daughter has a lot of wax and requires frequent cleaning. The box itself is well packaged and the item comes with everything you need. The application is easy to install. However: the camera has low quality image (blurry- even after cleaning the camera with the alcohol and tips provided). The software itself disconnects from the camera constantly (see images). Now, when placing the tip for removing ear wax, it blocks part of the camera (see image) and makes part of the screen bright- so I personally could not see where I was directing the camera towards and this did not feel comfortable using it further in. I would therefore recommend a different product and will try to test other ones out.

Doctor, Heal Thyself. Works Great!
There is a saying among ear doctors, "Do not insert anything smaller than your elbow into your ear - and only your own elbow!") I knew I had a lot of cerumen (ear wax). As a retired otolaryngologist, I wanted to remove it myself by irrigation. My wife had no idea what she was looking at when I asked her to look with an otoscope. I purchased this device so that I could monitor whether I had removed all the cerumen. It works great! Once one has the iPhone app, the camera connects without a problem. Before looking in one's ear, check the orientation of the camera (up and down). The included specula make it quite safe to insert into one's ear canal without pushing it too far inside. Some others on Amazon don't include specula. The picture is not the clearest possible, but it is quite good and is certainly very adequate for examining one's own ear. Provided you use the speculum, it should be safe for most people to use. However, I advise you NOT to use the attachments to scrape out the cerumen. The price is right.

Easy to use, and sufficient picture quality.
I use this device to inspect the ears of myself and family members. It uses its own app on my phone, but I'm fairly certain that with enough looking, you could probably use a different app due to how the camera works. It comes packaged with additional ear safety tips, and alcohol pads and cotton swabs for cleaning. The app and the camera itself are easy to use, and allows for taking pictures. There's honestly not much to say about this device, as it works perfectly, and as advertised. Install the app, plug in the camera, and that's it. It really can't be beat for the price.

Nice to see inside ear, but the tools are difficult to use to remove ear wax.
Setting up the app on an Android phone and connecting the otoscope is super easy. The camera works well and can easily take pictures inside the ear. The black pieces hold open the ear canal to allow you to easily see inside the ear. However, the tools they give you with the kit for removal could be more helpful. When you place the little yellow ring and then the chosen remover piece, you can no longer easily see inside the ear because nothing is holding open the ear canal any longer. So, unless you want to try to clean the ear blindly, the wax remains in place until you can see a doctor for removal. Three stars because it is helpful to see in the ear, but not five because you can't clean out anything if it is beyond regular eyesight in the canal.
