It's rare to find an affordable tool like this that is ALSO great quality and build. It also looks great and has a small footprint.I hesitated to purchase this because I wasn't sure if it could differentiate between idle electricity usage vs active electricity usage of smaller tools like mini CNC machines. Turns out it works perfectly on various different machines without issue. Once the machine or tool returns to idle the vacuum turns off within 5-6 seconds.

Was able to connect 4 different tools to a power bar and then to this unit. When I turn any of them on, the vacuum turns on. Make shop life much more convenient.

Vacuum switch stopped working after a couple months of use. Maybe 20 cuts. Garbage.

I used it on my miter saw, table saw, sanders and also used it to power my Festool vacuum cleaner. The Festool vac has an automatic feature which senses when I use the track saw but it doesn't work and replacing the control board would cost a fortune. Switching the vacuum on manually and having the SENCTRL automatic vacuum switch control the vacuum works just as well, if not better than the Festool feature and a whole lot cheaper.

I honestly didn't know these things existed up until a few months ago. I got the idea from a coworker that was using his plunge saw that had an automatic vacuum connected to it. That got me curious as to whether or not an external one existed in the world (his was more of a all-in-one setup). After a quick search, I came upon this device. I like it because now I don't have to listen to the vacuum whirl until I go and shut it off, or make sure that I turn it on before I use whatever it is hooked to. The startup delay is wonderful because the places that I work often only have one electrical circuit available making it real easy to trip a breaker if the startup load is too great. Speaking of the startup delay, I was curious to see if it would be able to have a tool hooked up to it that drew a small amount of current when the saw wasn't running (I have a DeWalt miter saw that uses XPS) and it worked great. The light for the XPS came on but didn't start the vacuum until I actually started the saw. It is a wonderful little gadget!
