Fun Toy for Kids & Performs Well.
The media could not be loaded. This is probably the first toy I’ve even been surprised by how it works vs. my first impressions of how it looks. Initially, I was unimpressed because it does appear to be cheaply made. It’s simply a foam “drone” with 4 tiny, plastic propellers. In my previous experience with these, they’ve never held up past a day or 2 against my son. However, this plane is painted well with cute details & shaped to resemble a jet. You get 2 rechargeable batteries, a type C charging cable, 4 extra propellers, instructions & wireless remote control. The battery pack just snaps into the underside of the plane & the controller operates off 2 AAA batteries that you will need to provide. I do recommend reading the instructions THOROUGHLY before flying this thing. It has various speed modes & different ways of operating with the controller. You have the option of using buttons or joystick for navigating. It has a glide or immediate take off/landing option. So, there is a bit of a learning curve involved in running it smoothly. Thankfully, the instructions are very clear & detailed. I was able to figure it out after a few tries. My 11 yr. old son runs it like a pro after just the first day. The batteries have a red LED to indicate when they’re charging. The plane has its own LEDs that blink when powered on & are solid once the controller is synced. They’ll also blink when the battery becomes low. The controls navigate efficiently & accurately. It even does a little stunt flip when holding the joystick down. If it becomes a bit wonky & flies around erratically, you simply hold down the middle button on the controller for readjustment. My only con is the battery life. Each battery lasts maybe 10 minutes tops. Which is why I recommend keeping both charged, so you’re able to swap them out. My son loves playing with it & it is a cool toy. It has a nice amount of speed & height. Because it’s foam, it’s capable of withstanding being flown into things without being damaged 🫣😄. I did say there’s a learning curve, lol. Don’t be deterred by what it looks like. It looks kind of flimsy & cheap. However, it performs well & is fun to play with for both adults & children. Only wish the battery lasted longer.

Great Drone for Kids!
Pros:🚁 Easy to Control: This drone is perfect for kids aged 8-12. The remote control is intuitive, making it easy for young pilots to operate.🚀 3D Stunt Mode: The 3D stunt mode adds an extra element of fun to the flying experience. My kids love watching the drone perform flips and rolls in the air.👏 Auto Hover Feature: The auto-hover feature is a lifesaver for beginners. It helps the drone maintain a steady altitude, preventing crashes.🛒 Affordable: This drone offers great value for the price. It's a budget-friendly option for parents looking to introduce their kids to the world of RC flying.Cons:🔋 Battery Life: The battery life could be a bit longer. It would be nice to have more flying time before needing to recharge.💨 Lightweight: The drone is lightweight, which is good for beginners, but it can be affected by wind, so outdoor flights on windy days can be a bit challenging. The Life Plane Drone is an excellent choice for kids aged 8-12 who want to try their hand at flying a remote-controlled aircraft. Its easy-to-use remote control, 3D stunt mode, and auto-hover feature make it a great introductory drone. While the battery life could be improved, it offers fantastic value for the price. Watching my kids enjoy this drone has been a joy, and it's a great way to get them outdoors and away from screens.⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is cool!
My kid has been begging for a drone, but I’m not ready to drop a huge chunk of change on something he will break or lose interest in. I got this for use to play around with and see if he’d focus on trying to learn how to fly it. This thing flies well! It’s way easier to control than I thought! Even I can fly it and I’m terrible at stuff like this. Once you learn how to really fly it, you can do some neat stuff with it!

Easy to control, hover works, short battery life
I was interested in this toy to potentially give to my kid when they begin showing interest in RC toys. I never had toys that could fly when I was little, they were always RC cars because that was the tech at the time. I gave this a go before seeing if my kid was ready for this.Overall, this toy is middling. I'm surprised it has a hover feature that works. It quickly takes off and lowers itself to a constant altitude. However, it horizontally moves all over the place and doesn't sit still. Using this in a more confined area meant it was bumping into everything. Luckily, it's mostly made of foam and bounces right off objects. But still, it just doesn't sit there and hover like a proper drone. It doesn't have sonar sensing to determine ground position or anything else fancy. This toy is so lightweight that the air from a ceiling fan on low will cause mass amounts of turbulence to the point it wasn't fun flying. The controller is simple yet complex to use. I would have preferred a standard controller, like a video game console, instead of this. It would have made button placement more ergonomic, and they could have added more buttons to the controller instead of trying to get everything into this one stick.I couldn't get the motion controls to casually work like in the video from the manufacturer. I had to really flick my wrist to get the toy moving and it would make sharp turns. Then again, there could have been a small draft in my house causing issues I didn't know about.Overall, I have mixed feelings about this. It can survive bumps and is easy to take off and controller with the joystick. But it gets tossed around by a ceiling fan on low. I wouldn't even try flying this outdoors without fear of losing it.For it's durability, I think kids will have fun so long as they're patient. Otherwise spending a bit more DJI's toy might be better since it has a sonar for ground positioning and teaches kids more how to properly fly a real drone.
