Brown Smart Earphones

I spent an a lot of time trying to find a case for my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 tablet. If you have this tablet you already know that there probably aren't a lot of cases for it in local stores. And the handful of cases that are available locally are either ugly, over-priced or not made specifically for the Note 8.You've already figured out that Amazon has a great selection, but which one to choose? Here's why I went with The Snugg:Form factor. I decided that I did not want one with clips or a rotating dial because I thought these things might break and add extra bulk. I also wanted a bit more protection around the sides. My tablet is securely held in place with a Velcro flap. There is just enough overhang with the cover that I believe the corners of the tablet will be protected if dropped. I wanted an elastic hand strap, although I wasn't sure if I would use it. But I find that I do and it's a nice feature to have.Quality workmanship. From the pictures, the stitches looked straight and even. I chose the Distressed Brown color and found the brown color to be a little deeper and richer looking than the picture.The company. After I created a "short list" of cases, I went to the websites of each of the companies...the ones that I could find, that is. By far, The Snugg seemed to be the one most accessible, most informative, and also offered a lifetime warranty.My experiences after one month. The case does not add a lot of bulk and actually seems to make my tablet easier to hold. Before I got the case I found that I was frequently hitting the button to the left of the Home button. This has not happened since I got the cover. So far, after a month of being carried in my purse everywhere I go, the case looks perfect with no scratches, worn spots, or fading.The two-position stand works. Absolutely no problems on a hard, flat surface. And the stand feature even works pretty well on my lap. I am also able to charge my tablet without removing the case, which I gathered was an issue with some of the other cases. The "auto sleep" feature works well without affecting the screen functions (no problems with the stylus or dead pixels.)All in all, I have been extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend The Snugg case.

**Since writing the review below, Snugg contacted me, and they are sending me a new case, in another color. They believe that the case I have, is defective. I don't know. I would still, at the very least, order a darker color. Whatever the case (no pun intended ), they are trying to rectify the situation and I am pleased with this. I will update about the new case when it comes.***** I am changing my review from 1 to 5 stars. Snugg sent me a replacement in brown (I chose the color) and I LOVE the case! No smell, fits beautifully and looks like a case worth the money. I am leaving the review below so that if others should run into the same problem, they will see that it can be rectified. Snugg went above and beyond to make certain that I was a happy customer, long after I had given up.Old, first review:The case stinks (literally and figuratively)! I should have given up when Amazon sent the wrong case-twice. No, made me want it more (yes, my fault). I ordered it from Snugg directly and it smelled of glue, something horrible. Had to contact three people to replace it, plus send a picture of the glue on it. The replacement smelled of glue as well, but it did finally go away and was not near as bad as the first one.The case I have is the light blue and there is absolutely no way to clean the inside of the case. I have tried everything short of bleach. In a few days, once a bit of dust from a table, or anything really, gets on the inside cover, the thing looks filthy and there is no way to clean it.It looks cheap. Snugg goes on and on about how you great the quality of their products are. They're junk. This is just a thin layer of ... I don't know? Vinyl? You can't call this any kind of leather, as there is one thin layer of the material, with plastic under it.I got the MoKo Slim case for $12 when i was waiting for the Snugg. Figured that it wouldn't hurt to have two anyway. I like the MoKo much better than the Snugg. It's held up well, cleans up nice and does the job of protecting the pad. It is also much slimmer than the Snugg.

Update-8/18/15 The seller contacted me after my initial review and offered to send me a replacement case at no charge, which is greatly appreciated. Of course, the case does come with a lifetime guarantee, as stated on the product page and the spine had broken. They asked me to reconsider my review after I had a chance to test the new case since " we have established that the product you received was defective." After about 3 weeks, they have again contacted me and asked me to reconsider my review. I don't really consider this a fair trial period, but here goes.-My tablet has once again overheat while being used in the unmodified case (see below). Since the seller expressed worry that I was previously using the tablet in an "an already warm atmosphere" (I do live in Texas), I wanted to clarify that I was sitting in my 73 degree F family room. I had only been reading the news on the tablet for 15-20 minutes, so I do not consider this "extensive usage". Other than the overheating issues, the case has not developed any of the other problems I listed in my earlier review. Though the Automatic Wake / Sleep Feature doesn't work as reliably with the new case as it did with the old.7-18-15 I have owned this case for 15 months. I love the brown color. It has stayed clean. The stand stays put & works well. Great access to the pen, camera & ports. BUT, when I first started using the case, my tablet overheated with more then short term use. A warning would pop up saying that the tablet was overheating and the tablet restricted the apps that could be opened until it cooled down. I resolved the issue by applying non-stick disks to make an air gap. It worked fine after that. Unfortunately, a few months later, the trim started peeling off. Now, the material has started to separate from the case & the spine has broken.

Great product

Very handsome case. The tab that you use to stand it up is a little stiff. That may change over time. The elastic strap to slip your hand through for single hand use is ok. Would have preferred something a little larger and tighter. My biggest complaint would be that it covers a little too much of the front of the tablet. The bottom buttons aren't as easy to get at as I would like. Good case for the price, but would like to know how it compares to the high end hard cases.

Fantastic, quality case. I like the way it can be turned into a stand for watching the tablet handsfree in landscape mode. It also has a magnet to help keep it closed and to make the tablet go to sleep (or wake up) when you close or open the cover. Highly recommend.
