Very robust easy to install good product very happy

These are excellent I had an injector hold down bolt hole and the thread had stripped a helicoil kept failing within minutes of being started. These are solid and hold the injector bolt down perfectly probably stronger than the original thread! Don’t waste time and money on helicoils use these very easy to fit and right for the job very pleased!

These come in handy for a variety of purposes but mainly used in woodworking projects if I want to hide screws in order to give nice clean lines.

I need to attach a threaded rod as part of a table saw jig I’m constructing and these carbon steel self- tapping inserts are just right for the job. Once seated, they remain rock solid, and as there will be some intermittent stress applied at this point, these should be perfect for the task. After measuring the outer diameter of the insert (see image), I did a test run into some plywood using a 9.5mm drill bit which resulted in a good tight fit. In summary, I’m delighted with the quality of the product and the fact that they can be re-used or salvaged if their current usage is now redundant, makes them very good value for money at their current retail price.

Threads definitely didn't seem to be M3, would bind very easily when machine screw inserted

I have an old but otherwise sturdy (very heavy) patio bench which needed a wooden slat replaced because one end had rotted & the thread insert lost. I got suitable wood for the replacement slat, cut it to length, drilled a hole in it & screwed in one of these Self-tapping Carbon Steel Thread Inserts, then put in a suitable M6 screw & the bench was back to full serviceability. The Self-tapping Carbon Steel Thread Insert I used was perfectly satisfactory.
