AWARA Classic 10" Hybrid Mattress, King, 1-Year Trial

I have had this bed for a full year now. Truth be told, I slept on an air mattress for years because I am a rambling man and used to move quite often. I have parked myself in a house for the foreseeable future so I decided it was time. I researched organic safe beds and feel I did my due diligence on finding the right fit. Not sure if this is 100% organic, but I believe it is. The top of the bed is latex and then coils below for support. This makes it a hybrid. It is the most comfortable bed I have had and it had helped tremendously in my ability to stay asleep. It's helped my lower back and really entire body. I still get a sense of relief every time I get into bed. I would say it's medium to firm, which is ideal. I'm 5'9 and 165 lbs and the queen size is perfect for me. No doubt could support someone bigger than me. If you're in the market, I would do your research. Watch videos and check reviews on every mattress you're considering, but certainly put this one on your list. I think it's a fantastic choice.

Updated 6 month now. Every day i wake up with sore back and hips. I can now feel every spring i lay on, so i bought a 2 inch memory foam topper. I can just barely feel the springs now. There is just no support It also still has a vary faint smell. I unzipped the cover there is a very thing white foam glued to the top of the springs. When i very gentle tried to lift the corner of the foam it just tears. When i rubbed the top little tiny pieces come off. I wonder if the foam is rotted or just very old. There is no support at all when i pressed the foam layer down. I noticed a lot more negative reviews now also with the same problems. I also noted there are a lot of (paid or free items) 5 and 4 star ratings. i have been trying to get rid of the smell for 4 weeks now. I have tried everything. Heated the room to 80 degrees for 3 days. Had fans blowing on the mattress constantly. The first week was so bad i had headaches, sneezing, dry cough, shortness of breath. Leave the house and no problems. No side support at all. if you sit on the side you end up on the floor. The cover is oversize you can stretch it 4 to 6 inches anywhere. The mattress came up to 9 inches not 10. I wonder if it is missing some layers inside. Updated review feb 11 2025, well left mattress outside for a whole week. five weeks now and Smell is mostly gone. I am sleeping on it now. It doesn't feel as if there is a latex layer as i can feel every spring. I noticed the mattress cost $100.00 less then i bought it for in November also the ratings have gone down .There is a lot more 1 and 2 stars. I would not suggest anyone to buy this item.

we were used to sleep on memory form so this took some sometime to get used to. I hated it first because it feels so different and bouncy. But after a few months I really started to see the benefit. now I can't go back to old mattress anymore. this gives decent support and right amount of firmness, you do feel toss and turn more compares to form mattress though

So far so good! Literally arrived within 24 hours after I purchased on Amazon..... Inflated out the box easily. It's considered a lower end price point luxury mattress. I prefer a firm mattress, and this is definitely firm. If you wanted a mattress that was soft and not firm, I would go for the pillow top option on this mattress... I'm very impressed by the way the bed is so well made that the sides don't " Slump" when you sit on the edge/ it's very well made. I went to MATTRESS FIRM the day before purchase and the quality of this mattress compared to any of the beds I tried there is superior... I also felt like I was dealing with a " car salesman" mentality there so knowing I can purchase this brand mattress Awara for the rest of my life without jumping through hoops at a mattress store is awesome!

I was excited to receive this mattress as I liked the all natural and organic materials. But as soon as I unwrapped it, it felt very cheaply made. It feels like there are about 16 springs in it and made of aluminum foil. As soon as you kneel on it or push down on it, it flattens. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of latex, maybe an inch or so. Feels like a nightmare for my lower back. Sending it back is going to be an extremely hard because I have to find a box to put it in and don’t have a way to vacuum seal it. Very disappointed that it was advertised as a 7 out of 10 firmness.

We bought a queen award natural hybrid mattress in 2022 and have loved it. So when we sized up to the king we ordered the same one. But this new one is disappointingly soft. The edges collapse way more easily than our old one and when you lie on it the mattress sags around you quite a bit. I’d say it feels more like a 4 on the firmness scale than a 7. Our old one from 2022 feels like a true 7. Bummed that their manufacturing seems to have changed.

Very easy to open out of package, minimal natural rubber smell, almost un-noticeable (dissipates very quickly). My 5 year old really likes the feel of the bed and has slept well on it for over a month. Don’t forget you cannot flip this mattress over, due to the design with the coils on the bottom. Do yourself a favor for kids and pick up an organic pee pad cover! Our traditional older twin sheets were hard to fit - tight on the mattress, but we can make them work. We haven’t tried “deep pocket” sheets yet. Love the way this company makes this product with no off-gassing!!!

I purchased this twin organic mattress because I wanted something comfortable, supportive, and safe for my family. At first, it felt wonderful — soft yet supportive, with no chemical smell, and I appreciated the organic materials. However, after just a few months, the sides began to bend and lose their shape. It no longer feels even, and it’s noticeable when lying near the edge. This has been really disappointing, especially considering the higher price for an organic mattress. I expected it to hold up much longer. Comfort was great in the beginning, but the lack of durability means I wouldn’t recommend it for long-term use.
