Shut the Box is an easy to learn numbers game that uses dice. Young kids begin to learn addition and kids of all ages have fun competing against one another as well as trying to 'shut the box' by turning down all their numbers. Easy to learn, quick to play, and well-made. Nice wooden frame - not plastic. The 4-way game allows you to play the game by yourself or with 1, 2, or 3 additional players. All three generations of our family can play this game together. Children as young as 5yr can learn to play the game.

This is a cute game and easy for young kids to play. It’s made well and comes with everything you need to play it. It’s an adult though it’s not a game I would want to play over and over.

I like how fast this game is. We keep it on the coffee table so it's just out and ready whenever we feel like a quick game. A lot of guests haven't heard of it but it's always less than 2 minutes to teach people and since the rounds are so short, most people end up wanting to go again at least 3 times. It's even been a great last-minute game at get-togethers when people are getting ready to leave and then finally notice it and ask about it. They'll stay another 10 minutes to run a few rounds before heading out. Everyone has commented they enjoy how easy it is to learn. I personally play it a lot by myself as well.

I had played the 4 person game and loved. Bought for my two children’s families and they enjoyed. My daughter bought the 4 person for my grandson to take to college.
