Good Replacement Roku Streaming Stick Remote
Got this to replace the original remote for my Roku Streaming Stick HD that got damaged during a recent party. Was easy to introduce the new remote to the stick, and because it came with batteries - which I wasn't expecting - it was up and running in minutes! Fully compatible. Works just like the original it replaced, though it does feel a little sturdier, which might explain why the price looks higher than you'd expect. But it is the genuine voice remote

Poor Quality, Not In Box, Wrong Manual, Voice Control and Volume Buttons Not Working
Didn't come in a box, just a plastic bag. Instruction manual was for a different remote. Voice control doesn't work and volume buttons are temperamental. Very disappointed.

Sent a used remote
I ordered a new remote and was sent a used one, with some of the writing worn off from use and dirt/grime in the buttons.

Failure within 12-months
This replaced a previous failed remote. Frustrating as this was within 12-months and Roku havenโt replied to a support request. As others mentioned, this unit failed as the right button has stopped working. In buying the branded remote one would think it would be robust and the expectation to last longerโฆit has now happened twice and my experience with Roku is tarnished.

Voice Remote is Great!
This remote is compatible with all of my Roku TVs. The twin pack was a great value. In addition to the volume controls, the thing I like the best about this remote is the Voice feature! I don't know how I lived w/o it all these years. I love it and highly recommend this remote.

My Old Remote Vanished, So I Hired This One as Its Replacement and It's Already Running the House
My Old Remote Vanished Into the Couch Dimension, So I Hired This One as Its Replacement and It's Already Running the House Let's hold a brief memorial. My previous remote was lost on a Sunday evening in March, somewhere between the left couch cushion and the edge of reality. We searched for three days. We flipped every cushion. We checked the fridge (it's always the fridge). We found $4.37 in change, two Ticonderoga pencils, a Milk-Bone, a TV Guide from 2008, and a single sock that belongs to no one in this household. But no remote. It crossed over. It's with the lost screws and the missing socks now. Rest easy, old friend. You fought bravely against the dog's teeth for six years. Then this purple-and-black Roku Voice Remote arrived, with its own pair of matching purple batteries, like it showed up to its first day of work with a coordinated lunchbox. I respected that immediately. I popped the batteries in, and before I even pressed a button, the TV turned on by itself. The Roku home screen glowed. I swear the remote whispered, "I'll take it from here." My old remote never had that kind of confidence. My old remote needed you to aim at the TV like you were a sniper, tilt it 17 degrees to the left, press the button three times, then stand up, walk closer, and plead. This one works from ANY ANGLE. I tested it. I pointed it at the ceiling. It worked. I pointed it behind my back. It worked. I put it in my pocket, walked into the backyard, and said "Volume up," and my TV got louder from 40 feet away while my neighbor Gary watched me yelling at my own jeans. The voice button is where things got spiritual. You hold it down, you speak your wishes, and they're granted. I said "Comedy movies." It showed me comedy movies. I said "Nature documentaries." It showed me nature documentaries. I said "Something good," and it paused, thought deeply, and just showed me my own reflection in the black screen for two seconds before loading the menu. I don't know what that means. I'm still processing it. My wife said "Romantic comedies" and it played the movie we saw on our first date. We didn't tell it what that movie was. It just knew. Now let's talk about the streaming culture this remote has saved me from. The Great Scroll. Every American has done it: sit down to watch something, open a streaming app, and scroll through thumbnails for 45 minutes until you've lost the will to live, then give up and rewatch a show you've already seen seven times. With the voice feature, I skip the scroll entirely. I say the name. It plays. My family now has 45 extra minutes per night. We've used that time to learn Spanish, take up pottery, and argue about who's holding the remote. Because that's the other thing: remote culture is political. Whoever holds the remote holds the power. In my house, the remote has always been a crown. My father held it. His father held a rotary dial. When this new remote entered the house, the family realized it was the most powerful remote we'd ever owned, and a civil war broke out. My son hid it in his backpack. My daughter used the voice feature to change the channel from across the room without even touching it. My wife just calmly said, "Give it to me," and the remote floated across the living room into her hand. I don't know how that happened either. She hasn't let go of it since. I now watch whatever she tells me to watch. It's a peaceful regime. Side effects may include: Yelling "YES, I'M STILL WATCHING" at the TV like it insulted your honor Pressing the Netflix shortcut button by accident and deciding that's a sign from the universe Talking into the remote even when it's not a voice command, just to feel heard Hiding the remote in increasingly elaborate places, including the freezer and inside a boot Standing guard over the couch cushions every night so this one doesn't get pulled into the void Warning: consider the Pack of 2. It's $39.76, and I realize now the second one isn't a spare. It's an heir. A backup crown. In the event of a remote disappearing into the cushion dimension again, the second one will assume the throne. I bought the single pack, and I live in constant fear. Every night I check the cushions like a man checking for monsters under the bed. Viewer Rating: 5 stars, voice activated, battery included, zero pointing required. Last seen in my wife's hand, and if history is any indication, it will stay there until the couch takes it too.

Perfect Technology
Absolutely a perfect example of what modern technology should be! Totally plug and play connectivity. Turn off Roku Stick, remove the remote batter insulator strip so the remote is powered, turn the Roku back on and your linked in less than a minute. If you have the old remote, remove the batteries to make it easy to set up the Remote TV control via the Roku Settings option. Highly recommended it worked flawlessly to connect and to do what itโs expected to do!
