Utterly Unbelievable - IT WORKS!!!
My brother told me about these deodorant stones and how effective they were, but I remained firmly sceptical. Not being one for 'natural remedies' of any kind and putting all of my faith in synthetic solutions, I was sure that I would prove him wrong if I bought one of these and tried it.Well, I've been using mine for a month now, in considerable heat (it's 34°C today where I live) and it has changed my life! How so? Well, knowing that the waxy chemical antiperspirant sprays, which I had always used before, would release their foul, yellow-brown residue onto the layer of clothing next to my skin, I have been in the habit of wearing white T-shirts under my clothing for as long as I can recall. After a few months, even with regular washing in hot water, these T-shirts become impregnated with this waxy substance and begin to give off a faintly bad smell. At that point, I would simply cut the arms off, use them as polishing rags and go out and buy some new ones to wear. This, plus the cost of an aerosol can of antiperspirant every week or two, certainly added up!Now, after getting out of the shower, I simply neglect to towel-dry the area underneath my arms and rub this stone over it a few times, whilst still damp. This puts down an invisible layer of mineral salts (as I understand it), which do an incredible job of stopping any bacteria from multiplying on the skin and causing bad smells. I have even experimented (at weekends, when I haven't had to leave the house) with going for 3 days without a shower, just to see how long it took the smell to return. The answer to that is ... about 3 days (although it's barely noticeable)! Sorry for the level of detail here, by the way, but it's necessary to illustrate just how effective this product is.Of course, if (as I do) you use only this stone, then there will be no (artificial) flowery scent to tell everyone else that you are fresh form the bathroom, but you can probably spray a deodorant over the top of this without diminishing its effect (check the instructions first, though). I'm quite content for other people to smell only my after shave, so that's all I use now.As you would expect, the body still produces sweat and this will still come into contact with your clothing, as the stone does not block the skin pores. This isn't such a problem though, as there are no white marks left when it evaporates off of dark colour clothing (which you might well expect there to be, given that there are 'salts' within the composition of the stone). Crucially, this moisture evaporates away leaving no trace of 'body odor' at all. Great if you don't want to have to wash and iron your shirts after every single day of use in warm weather.If you're traveling, this stone is a God-send! No worries about taking over-size aerosols through Customs, or running out of the stuff just before day-long walking tour around a hot, over-crowded city. You could literally travel around the world, carrying just one of these stones for odor protection, as they are said to last well over 6 months.The only negative thing that I would say about them (apart from the fact that they are so little-known and therefore not widely available), is that they can be a little slippery to handle (as is soap). This caused a problem for me when I accidentally dropped mine onto the stone-tiled floor of my bathroom and chipped a bit of the side - now it has a rough edge. Still, that was down to 'user error' more than any major design flaw, so no stars deducted for that.In conclusion, I would recommend to anyone who is interested in their personal hygiene to at least try one of these deodorant stones. I've no idea if some work better than others, or if there is much variation depending upon skin type, but this product purchased through Amazon has proved so invaluable for me that I vow never to return to spraying myself with pore-clogging chemicals every morning. I ordered this item in the afternoon of the 29th of December, and chose the standard delivery. I was amazed when the postman popped it through my letterbox the next day around 11am! Being a brittle item I was pleased to see it was securely packaged in bubble wrap. I've not really had chance to use it yet but I have seen these types of deodorant stone before and really wanted to try one. All the other ones I saw on Amazon were only shown in their packaging and the shape of the stone wasn't clear; with this one you could clearly see it was nice and smooth. It comes in a handy plastic bag for storage. I will certainly use this supplier again, very impressed with the product and service.

Like many other potential users I was sceptical about the effectiveness of this product. I’ve spent years trying to avoid all the bad ingredients that are the usual components of standard deodorants but this stone/crystal really does work 100%.I cannot imagine I would ever use anything else now and because it lasts ages it is actually much more economical than standard deodorants.I initially was so sceptical that I didn’t actually use it for the first week until there was a day where it was less important that I had body odour, however it turned I just wasted a week. I cannot speak highly enough of this deodorant stone so suggest anyone who stumbles across it give it a try.

Having sensitive skin (and feelings, I cried at Bambi) it does not aggravate me at all.Serious bit.....Lightly wet the stone before use, and dry it a little after to avoid little uncomfortable bums appearing on the surface. If you do this the stone will last longer and stay in the holder.Less serious bit....Have used these stones for years, and have never been told I stink! Result!!!

I ordered this with a certain amount of scepticism, after having increasing difficulty finding aluminium-free deodorants.However, I was pleasantly surprised. It arrived in double quick time, and works! Tremendously well. Absolutely no unpleasantness - even 24 hours later, and after a workout. I'll be buying more of these - however, they last a year, so maybe not immediately...In support of the comments to this review, these deodorants are NOT aluminium free, but have lower aluminium and in a less readily absorbed form.

Wonder product
Have been using these for years, they are fantastic- they work by killing the bacteria that maked you smell when you perspire, they work in all climates and you can use them even when you have shaved under your arms and they don't sting. They can be used and effective in all areas, would use conventional deodorants ever again- they last for ages, don't contravene airline travel regs. Have recommended tham to friends who have had same results. Unreservedly recommended.
