I got this kit to make my own ethernet cables for at home and for some friends and family. The kit has everything I need to cut, strip, crimp, and test the cables. The kit includes a pass through ethernet cat6 crimping tool, some pass-thru connectors, a wire cutter plier, a mini wire stripper, and a network cable tester. The crimping tool is easy to use and has a ratchet mechanism that ensures a tight and secure crimp every time! The pass-thru connectors are compatible with cat5e and cat6 and 6a cables. The wire cutter plier is surprisingly sharp and can cut the cable exactly as long as I want it first time every time. The mini wire stripper has already come in handy and can strip the cable jacket without damaging the wires. The network cable tester is battery-powered and can check the continuity and wiring order of the cables.The kit is a great value for money and has high quality materials and components. The kit is suitable for beginners and importantly it paid for itself right away as this was cheaper then the first roll of ethernet.

This crimping tool and continuity tester worked flawlessly for me without errors. The ability to separate the continuity tester was very valuable to me as I wire homes with Cat 6 and I can be a hundred feet of more from each terminated end to test it. Pass thru connectors are the way to go and makes the termination simple. I would definitely purchase again!

The tester unit I received didn't work at all (tried with several known-good cables and got nothing). The crimp tool didn't work well either. Save yourself the headache and pay a bit more for a product that will actually work.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pass-through connectors in this kit, but the network cable tester didn't work as expected.

I am new to the pass through connection method. I saw this pass through crimper and thought this is worth a try. The crimpers feel well made with heavy material. At first I had a little trouble getting the rj45 positioned just right to crimp. My eyes aren’t what they use to be and thankfully I don’t crimp a lot of connectors anymore. With the pass through it is so easy to verify my wire positioning. Plus the cable cover is always fully in the rj45. These crimpers are working great for me.
