Used as a backing plate to mount Garmin Force Kraken to boat and it works great.

I was looking for a plate to use as a base to attach my winch, then anchor to my truck bed. I found this aluminum plate. The size was perfect, but I was unsure about the thickness. It needed to secure my 3000lb winch. I not a Metallurgist. When it came, I was surprised how solid and strong the plate actually was. Needless to say, I got the right plate for the job.

Be aware that the plate is slightly smaller than 8 x 12 inches and is not a perfect rectangle ( measured 11.75 and 11.25 inches at two edges).

1/4 shy of 12'. 1/8 short of 6' Otherwise quality is good. Dimension being incorrect isn't a large concern for me. But definitely not precision cut.

Not 12" x 6", actually 11 3/4" x 5 7/8".
