To be honest, this is the best fountain (and filters) you can find. I’ve struggled in the past for my rabbit to get to drink his water from the bowl, but this is not a problem anymore with this fountain and filters. The water is always clean, they are so easy to clean each week and you just need to change it every month, and no worries, the fountain will show you an indicator light in yellow to let you know you should replace it!

the only thing I dislike is how soon these get dirty, but I suppose that's because my cat is a slob when he drinks after eating.

I'm a Vine reviewer, so have had a chance to test and review several cat fountains including Pawaii, no-name made-in-China generic stuff, and one made by Petlibro (a leading automated pet feeder manufacturer). NONE of these hydration systems except Pawaii comes with very stringent NSF certification (Pawaii is owned by Waterdrop which manufactures human water filters and reverse osmosis systems).This is not a Vine review; I paid for these filters.Sure, the marketers of competing non-NSF systems espouse "ultra" filtering and other flowery words, but never provide any proof of performance.By the way, the basic non-WiFi $35.99 fountain is excellent. Very little noise except for the babbling brook of water that starts up when an animal walks by it, which encourages cats to drink; many cats don't drink enough water if they eat only kibble. Less tech to potentially fail and eat battery power. Easy to clean and change the filter. I rated it 5 stars.Some others, like the Petlibro, have very loud motors that can scare some cats; the Petlibro filters are much more expensive and harder to change. Other filters for generic fountains are often useless.My rating system:5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park. A great value!4 Stars = Excellent product. This review is for replacement filters so, yes this is an easy replacement. Order was quick and easy. The water fountain is a staple in our household. I only use the pump features, not features associated with the base or the app.

I change the filter monthly as suggested and pried open the filter to see the contents inside. I was surprised to find only two small bags of activated carbon. There's also a gel pouch, likely for ion exchange to soften the water, and sponges to filter out debris. After a month, the pictures show significant dirt accumulation. It seems to filter debris effectively and has more contents than competitor products, but other than that I'm not sure if it's a good filter overall.

These are replacement filters for the automatic water product. They were great very easy to use.

I am updating the comment below. The merchant connected with me and offered several variants to resolve issue. We found acceptable one. After some time of using the device, it started tracking water consumption, however, as I have two cats, two water fountains, cats have access to both, and one of them likes to splash water, I cannot rely on the numbers.Mold issue still persist. I believe metal or ceramic water-contacting parts would be better.-----initial comment-----The product is below expectations. The water consumption appeares in the app very randomly, sometimes shows zero for several weeks (and I see my cat drinking water).It’s very difficult to evaluate uv clean and value of outside pump - it may add some value (the product gained the second star for it). However, stains appear on plastic bowl and submerged pump tubes at the same speed as on my other fountain. Provided that the product and consumables are not marketed in my country (Japan) - so I have to but it on the US amazon and pay for delivery each time, there is no reason to select it.
