Orlimar Intercept Single Length Golf Irons Set for Men Right Handed 5-6-7-8-9-PW-GW (7 Clubs)

My son kept telling me that his dad needed to update his clubs to some made more for himself as he ages. He did some research as I know nothing about golf. My husband loves the clubs and is improving his game.

These are excellent clubs for the money and if you are looking to try out a single length set these are great. I've played the Cobra F7 irons and really liked these better. My only problem was that the longer irons did not get enough height in the shot. This, of course, most likely was my swing and not the clubs.

I love the clubs. The only thing that I would change is the grips.I don’t understand why anyone would spend 600$+ on cobras when these clubs do the job just fine. I’ve seen a great change in my golf game once I got used to single length clubs.I wish they had a four iron and a sand and lob wedge to make it a complete set.These clubs hit the ball extremely high when you’re using anything below a 7 iron. And the 5iron I’m hitting it close to 230 yards. Which is awesome. On my old set I could never hit my long irons. I never used a 6,5,4 iron in my old set and I can honestly say when my driving is off. I rather take out my 5 iron then my hybrid

Would give 0 rating if I could. Will never know if these are good or bad. Returned the ones that came and will not ask for replacement. Not taking a chance when the initial order was this screwed up!

I have used my Orlimar set of single length irons for about 2 months and they are wonderful. The head design is great so visually there are no distractions. As far as distance of each club, its no different than my previous set of standard irons. Being taller I even lengthened them all 3/4" and have no problem with the lie. I waited on a single length set of irons because I wasn't about to pay $1,000. When I saw these I didn't hesitate. I replaced the grips with taci-mac non tapered oversize grips. Love them. This is my set from here on out. Some people worry about having their wedges as long as the 7 iron. I have no problem with it and it never enters my mind when I use them. I even made my 60 degree wedge the same length. No problem. Just choke up if you want to hit it less distance.

These clubs have all the qualities of far more expensive sets, such as Cobra, Edel, Sterling, OneIron, et al. Manufactured in China (most golf clubs are), the quality and finish are excellent. (When I regrouped them--and you probably should--I discovered the shafts, although labeled "Orlimar," are actually Apollo 95 R/S shafts.) The design features a deep undercut cavity throughout the set and flex-face technology in the longer irons, making them forgiving. They lack the fitting options of the more expensive brands; that's part of what makes them so affordable. But, as Frank Thomas, the former technical director of the USGA, said in his book "Just Hit It," standard specs will be fine for over 80% of golfers. If you want to dip your toes into the single-length waters, you can't go wrong with Orlimar's Intercept One-Length irons.

5 & 6 iron do not go very high. Distance is close. You MUST TRUST and swing as if your hitting a 7 iron for all clubs. Moving the ball around in tour stance is a disaster. TRUST IT or sell them.

The finish scratches and peels off after first round. Shouldn't affect clubs at all but still a little annoying hence the 4/5

Having lengthened my own clubs to the same length and liking the way I hit them, I purchased the Orlimar set as they are a matched set to the same length as well as weight and lie. I was pleasantly surprised right away, the gap wedge to the seven iron I hit with great consistency right out of the box. They fly higher and I am at least ten yards longer and higher flighting than my old set. With a little practice I got the five and six iron going good as well but the lower flight took some getting used to. All in all I would recommend these clubs as you will eliminate the fat and thin shots that can occur with a standard set as you have the advantage of the same set up with each of these irons

My order was for a 7 piece set being 5 iron to gap wedge. I received 1 x 7 iron. One club doesn't constitute a set!I can get the 7 piece set in Australia for $495 but so the $312 plus freight seemed like a good deal. To the contrary it was a sham and a complete waste of time.

First time at the driving range, the clubs are hitting wonderfully, learning curve was quite small and didn’t take long to getting used to a single swing for all clubs.Much easier and forgiving than my previous blade type clubs. Large sweet spot, longer distance and straighter shots.After playing my first game, noticed more consistent fairway landings and increase in distance.The biggest adaptability was the longer distance shots from the PW and GW.Great clubs and value for the price. Would definitely buy them again and sure glad that it’s helping my consistency.Second time at the driving range and 7 iron club head broke off. It's an obvious defect as the shaft broke inside the club head.

I ordered a set of Orlimar single length golf clubs 5 - gap wedge, 7 clubs in total, I recieved one 7 iron. Contacted customer service and explained what happened, they said they will send another order next week and if is still incorrect they will remove the product due to improper description. I would rather have the full set than to remove the product, fingers crossed.
