It jams and is good.
I have owned several other tuners that were 5.2. They sucked in comparison. This is a fine tuner. It sounds great! It was an easy setup and works GREAT with my Bose squares from years ago.

Amazing surround
Just buy it, you won’t be disappointed. Crystal clear sound and loud if you want it to be. Easy to set up as well.

This Receiver Is Amazing
I have a TV with an eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel), but my old Yamaha receiver didn't support that. I cut the cable last year and now use Hulu + Live TV for everything, and I have a Roku Ultimate. What I WANTED was the ability to control everything with one remote and voice. So I installed the Roku and Hulu skills on my Amazon Alexa account, and the installed this Denon receiver in place of my old Yamaha. First the receiver was very easy and intuitive to set up. I used the microphone that came with it to get all of the speakers configured for the best sound and it sounds amazing. Thanks to the eARC connection between my TV and the Denon receiver, my TV can now control the volume levels on the receiver; and that allowed me use just the Roku remote to control everything. But even better, I can say "Alexa watch Hulu on Roku" and my TV, Denon receiver and Roku all turn themselves on and Hulu launches. I can also tell Alexa what I want to watch, control volume either with voice commands or the remote, and turn everything off (TV, receiver & Roku) by simply saying "Alexa, turn off Roku." Anyway, I wanted great sound, one remote to control everything, and the ability to use voice commands. That is all working flawlessly now, and key to that was the Denon receiver. Based upon this experience, I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything Denon makes.

Great features at a good price & easy setup
Excellent value and exactly what I was hoping for. I came from using a Yamaha HDMI receiver that was randomly shutting itself off. I also have a 4k projector and the receiver only passed 1080 resolution so it was time for an upgrade. I already have wall mounted surround so I wanted something capable of hooking up to my existing speakers and powered subwoofer. I did a bit of research and landed on this Denon. I felt like it would be an almost unnoticeable upgrade but two things really stick out for me. First, the Denon and HEOS apps that allow streaming music and second, the surround configuration. I almost never listened to Bluetooth music on my old system because if I walked too far away it'd drop or stutter. Now I find myself listening to streaming audio using HEOS almost every day. When you go in and select a genre or station the Denon turns on automatically and just starts playing. It's great. The sound configuration on my old system always seemed weak from the surround speakers. I always had to manually select 5 channel surround and even then it was not even sounding. With this receiver, I did the auto configuration using the included microphone and set the sound mode for HEOS to multi channel stereo and it's done. The sound is even throughout the room. Surround movies sound great and look nice in 4k. All this was at the discount of Amazon Renewed so about $100 less than a new one. I'm happy.

Not bad but doen't expect voice commands through Alexa to work
The tuner itself is fine. Aside from the onscreen guide and menu options available through your TV, there's nothing completely spectacular about this receiver. I didn't test the streaming features but otherwise, it delivers good sound quality and seems to offer the bare basics as any other tuner has for years and years... which would have been fine except for one thing. While needing to replace an older, failing unit, I specifically got this receiver because of price and its Alexa comparability. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with 2 remotes, one for my TV/streaming apps and one for my cable box and it's features. Yes, I really only wanted this receiver in particular to use Alexa to manage input switching... which it purportedly handles, so that I could drop the need for a 3rd remote. To use voice commands, you have to set up a HEOS account and then link that to your Alexa account and enable the HEOS skill. So far so good. The problem? After connecting the receiver to both the Denon and HEOS mobile apps and confirming connectivity, Alexa would either constantly show the equipment as offline or when you could actually connect, the only thing you could tell Alexa to do is adjust the volume. That's cool and all BUT both of the remotes I already can/have to use do that just fine. Alexa will not turn on/off the device or switch inputs. I'm not sure if this lack of comparability/features is more a Denon issue, HEOS, or Alexa but in the end, it doesn't support my needs and I'll be returning unfortunately. If you don't care about voice commands (at least through Alexa), you might be pleased with this unit.

Denon AVR-S670H is a seamless blend of power, precision, and technology.
The Denon AVR-S670H has been a solid upgrade for my home setup. It’s got great sound, and for the most part, it’s been easy to use. After spending some time with it, though, there are a few things that could definitely be better. Setting it up was pretty simple. The on-screen guide helps, and it didn’t take long to get everything connected. Streaming music has been a breeze, especially with Spotify and TIDAL. It also works well with our Google Home system, so I can adjust the volume or switch inputs with voice commands, which is convenient. One thing I like is the customization options. You can rename inputs and adjust speaker settings pretty easily. It gives you control over how things are set up, and that’s a nice bonus. But, there are a few downsides. To get the most out of the receiver, you have to connect it to your TV through an ARC (Audio Return Channel) setup. If your TV is older and doesn’t have ARC, you’re going to lose out on some features, like running your TV’s audio through the receiver. It’s a bit annoying if you’re not ready to replace your TV. Another issue is that everything has to be done through the remote and the TV screen. Want to adjust the equalizer or set radio presets? You’ll need the remote and TV for that. There’s no option to do these things directly on the receiver, which is inconvenient for quick changes. There’s also a pretty limited number of outputs. You’ve got an HDMI output for your TV and one RCA output, but that’s it. If you’re looking to connect other devices, you might be out of luck. One thing that’s been especially frustrating: I haven’t found a way to play audio from the receiver over my Google Home speakers. I’d love to listen to a vinyl record and have it play throughout the house, but so far, I haven’t been able to make that work. It’s a bit of a letdown if you’re hoping for whole-home audio. Overall, the Denon AVR-S670H sounds great and works well for streaming music and movies. It’s been reliable, but if you’ve got an older TV or want more flexibility with controls and outputs, you might run into a few headaches.

Great receiver for my needs
I did not buy this to support a home theater, but to provide the equivalent of an old-time integrated amp with the added capability to play server-stored music files as well as streaming music. One of the sacrifices of downsizing to a condo upon my retirement was having to dispose of a very large collection of CDs. I ripped them all to to my computer and only needed an appropriate receiver to handle them. Of course, I have also add a turntable (my Vinyl collection was quite smaller) and nice Polk bookshelf speakers to complete my set-up.

Great receiver
Quite an upgrade from from my old 80s JVC receiver that finally died. Set up was easy and the sound quality is great. I set it up with 4 KLH cube speakers a center channel and a bass box. The base goes right through you. The surround sound is great. I hear everything around me and catch myself looking around the room when something comes through the rear channel.

Prefect for my setup.
I purchased this for a new system I put together for my newly renovated living room. I didn't need anything more than a 5.2 system and the choices are limited. The TV is a new OLED LG with all the new features that HDMI2 offers, so I wanted an AVR that could take advantage of them. Wow, what an upgrade from my old AVR. Easy to program, easy to setup, and there is more than enough power for my needs. Now if I was 20 again (I hate to admit I was 20 in the 80's) I would likely have gone with the higher end unit that would piss off my neighbors, but don't think that this one does not have the power to put some punch in your audio system. My new setup has 2 slimline ML speakers flanking my TV, a ML center channel speaker under the TV, and a SVS subwoofer, and to be honest the sound quality with this AVR is more than I could have hoped for. The space is a full open concept with 18' ceilings and it can more than fill the entire area with high quality sound. I have yet to test the full output abilities of the system. So long story short, I am very happy with this AVR.

High quality, worth the cost.
Super easy to install and the setup wizard is very easy to understand. The app works well, too. Syncs with iPhone and wifi seamlessly. I see what others are saying about how it stays on “by itself”. But I don’t know if I accidentally left it on, or if I was using the Bluetooth function from my phone and it turned itself on after leaving the room and watching a video on the phone or something like that. Overall the receiver works wonderfully I would recommend for a 5.2 setup. Excellent quality I’m impressed.
