WORTH EVERY PENNY!!
This has worked wonders for me! Makes cut outs for my son’s party’s a breeze! Super easy to use! It gets hot fast! I wish it would have a longer cord but an extension cord fixes that! Love that it came with a case! Great for transporting if need be!

Slow and Steady Wins the Race!
Was it fast? No. Did it work well? YES! This thing is fantastic at cutting foam. I used it primarily on the harder 2" pink rigid foam. Most of the time I had 2 pieces adhered to each other (spray adhesive foam works best) and it cut like butter. It's juuuuust 4" long, so it was hard to get to the end of the 2nd layer of foam but it just made it. I had to go slow, but it worked like a charm. I read some people were breaking the head off which is ridiculous. You would have to push amazingly hard in order for that to happen. It will start to bend if you are pushing too hard, so realize that and back off a tad. Just take your time and let the knife do the work! I used it to make big size Monopoly pieces for Halloween at work, and they turned out great. Cutting stuff in 3D is quite the adventure! :)

Overall good kit, but wires break easily
The cutter worked well and was easy to use. The only downside is that there are only 7 wires, and each only lasted a few minutes before either breaking, or slipping out of the ends where they were crimped. However the description does say “styrofoam cutter” and I was using it for EVA foam which is denser and harder to cut through which could’ve been part of the problem. Overall, seems well designed and worked as intended though.

Excellent, fast heating, Styrofoam cutter.
I am impressed! I have similar devices at my school, but this one heats up almost immediately. Cuts through Styrofoam like a hot knife through butter. The kit looks exactly like the picture.

Good value
This item paid for itself in one day. It worked better than expected.

Hoped for hot-knife precision—got lukewarm results.
I purchased the 4-in-1 Hot Wire Electric Foam Cutter Kit (with toolbox in white), really hoping it would slice through foam like butter. Unfortunately, that wasn't quite the case. I found myself having to apply noticeable pressure to get it to cut, and even then, the results weren’t as clean or precise as I expected. Prior to this, I was using a simple box cutter, which lacked precision—but honestly, it performed about the same. I had high hopes that this tool would be a game changer, but I was let down. Ironically, I’ve had better results using the Cricut True Control Knife. It cuts through foam board with far more ease, delivering cleaner lines and better precision. This kit looks promising, especially with the multiple color and toolbox options, but the performance just didn’t meet my expectations.

Great tool for the price
Cuts foam cleanly and comes with several useful attachments. It takes a little practice to get smooth cuts, and the handle gets warm after long use, but overall a solid tool for projects.

Piss Poor. And it’s too bad. Hopes dashed. Avoid.
I had hopes for this. Here are the issues: Two of the four cutting blades did not function and could not connect with the power source thereby negating ability to router out a section of foam. The hot blade tips that did work didn’t get hot nearly fast enough nor stay hot long enough. No precision at all. A sharper razor blade and a good clamp down might do better because this was not like a hot knife, cutting through butter. Thankful I can stay over return it
