## Overview

The Grindhouse GH5L-Pair is a robust set of passive 5-inch 2-way loudspeaker cabinets designed for DJs, live bands, and PA systems. Each speaker delivers 150 Watts RMS and 300 Watts peak power through a high-output woofer and horn tweeter housed in a durable MDF enclosure with ABS reinforcements. Engineered for wide dispersion and enhanced bass, these speakers offer professional-grade sound quality and rugged portability at an accessible price point.

## Description

The GH5L is a 2 way passive loudspeaker built from a 5.25 Inch High Output Mid/Low Pulp Ribbed Woofer and a 3/4 Inch High Temp Multi Layer Copper Voice Coil mounted on a Wide Dispersion High Frequency 1 Inch Horn Tweeter for the highest quality sound. These components are housed in computer engineered MDF Acoustic Enclosure to get the most out of your speaker. The low end is enhanced by a Tuned Bass Reflex Enclosure to maximize the boom. The cabinet is made sturdy with heavy duty ABS handles and impact resistant ABS Corner Guards to make it road worthy. A steel mesh screen is installed to prevent damage to the speaker and horn. The GH5L is rated at 150 Watts RMS and 300 Watts Peak to get maximum volume from this cabinet. It is wired at 8 ohms to make it easy to daisy chain. Two parallel inputs are provided. The Grindhouse brand of Pro Audio gear is an affordable alternative to high priced audio gear. Do not be fooled by the price! Low prices do not always translate to a cheap product. Grindhouse Speakers are high quality product and produce a superb sound. Give them a shot and you will be happy you did

Review: Well built cabinets and nice sound - Well built cabinets and nice old school passive sound at a reasonable price. I would definitely purchase again.
Review: Great passive (non-powered) speakers - I bought these to use with my edrum amp and Korg Wavedrum... the Wavedrum Global has graet stereo effects on almost every voice, and I wanted to get some of that when playing through an amp, so I bought these, and some tripod stands, and a couple 1/4" instrument cords, and they work great! The amp I'm using is a Simmons DA200S, which has left and right speaker outs, crossovered to only send mid/high frequencies, which is just perfect for my need (but it means I can't tell you anything about the low end on the speakers). They seem well-built and solid, and they sound really good for how I'm using them. The built-in post mount in the bottom makes them easy to set up. Note that the1/4" jack is recessed a bit, so you won't want to use a right-angle plug there.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well built cabinets and nice sound

Well built cabinets and nice old school passive sound at a reasonable price. I would definitely purchase again.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great passive (non-powered) speakers
*by J***N on March 24, 2019*

### ⭐⭐⭐ Power Rating Incorrect
*by C***T on August 20, 2022*

Tried using this with a 3-watt RMS guitar amp and paired with another speaker with 50 watts RMS powering both this speaker and another one, so it was trying to handle 25 watts. I knew 300 watts wasn't accurate, but it's literally off by over an order of magnitude. These are okay at low volume, but they break up really easily. Even the 3-watt amp distorted more quickly than with other speakers. These are okay for a desperate situation, or for low-volume practice with an instrument amp that is 5 watts or less. For that, they'd be better than some of the cheap combo amps I've tried, so not entirely useless.
