Quality Water Bottle
I recently purchased a Nalgene water bottle and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. The bottle is made from high-quality materials and is incredibly durable, so I know it will last for a long time. One of the things I love about this bottle is that it is leak-proof. I can throw it in my bag and not have to worry about any spills or leaks. The wide mouth also makes it easy to add ice or fruit to my water, and it's easy to clean too. The bottle is also very lightweight, so it's perfect for taking on hikes or to the gym. And, the markings on the side make it easy to track my water intake throughout the day. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase of the Nalgene water bottle. It's a high-quality product that I know I will be using for years to come. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a durable, leak-proof water bottle.

Nalgene is the best
I have had Nalgene bottles since the 90's and they are great. I got this one for my Dad because he doesn't get enough water throughout the day and doesn't like paying for bottled water. These are basically indestructable. I have carried them hiking on the trails for a long time. Easy to carry and fits in most cup holders. I get the wide mouth Nalgene because it's easier to clean. I also bought him some electrolyts and a sponge bottle washer. Great classic bottle.

Must have for travel
Is there a better water bottle for the price? Nope. Lightweight. Cheap. Well built.

Perfect size. Safe HDPE plastic.
I love the size. It may be a bit smaller than the usual 32oz, but it fits most of my backpacks well. The HDPE is softer than the other plastics treated with hardeners (like BPA), but IMHO it is a plus. It seems to be a high quality HDPE, that performs very well for long time without breaking apart due to UV light. Being softer makes it less likely to break in extreme conditions, when the water freezes or when it falls from a considerable height. The wide mouth makes opening the bottle much easier. Especially in freezing conditions when the ice clogs the opening and one has to struggle with mittens. Cleaning is also simplified.

Great Product! Exactly what it should be!
I love Nalgene bottles. They are really strong which makes them borderline indestructible. They aren’t double insulated or anything like that but just a great generic water bottle!

30oz not 32oz as listed
Its a classic nalgene but its listed as 32oz and its only 30oz. Slightly smaller than a Tritan nalgene. Not a big deal but the listing is wrong

HDPE still has advantages over Tritan
Quick summary - I love it. This HDPE Nalgene is the classic white, translucent plastic from the 90s. Tritan is the very common, clear hard plastic that replaced the Lexan bottles that you see the most today. Check the pros and cons to see if HDPE or Tritan work better for you. Bottom line on top: Get HDPE if: You're using it for water, want to minimize weight and have the best durability. Get Tritan if: You use it for juice/sports drinks/protein shakes, hot liquids, and bottle weight is not a concern. HDPE Pros: + Absolute winner on weight and drop durability. HDPE is solid, it doesn't squish at all, but it is technically softer than Tritan. The upside to that is that if you drop it, it flexes and won't crack as easily as more rigid Tritan. + A little bit smaller. Might be a con for some people, but I think it's great. It's just slightly more compact. + Proven safety. HDPE has been around for decades in lab and food safety and the industry has a ton of data and experience with it. We're really, really sure this plastic is safe. I have no concerns about Tritan either but we don't have as much time with it as HDPE. HDPE Cons: - Slight odor when you first get it. Wash it with warm, soapy water and leave the cap open. The smell will fade and you won't ever notice it again. - Lower melting point. You can put boiling water into this but you'll feel the bottle start to go slightly soft. Tritan has a much higher melting point and stays firm. - Retains more odors than Tritan. If you're mixing sports drinks or protein shakes, those slight odors can linger slightly even after washing. You'll have to use baking soda to get them out. I wouldn't put hot coffee into an HDPE bottle. Tritan isn't perfect but does much better. - More prone to staining. I wouldn't put tomato juice or marinara sauce in HDPE. For folks who want more detailed info on dimensions and weight: Height: HDPE (8 inches), Tritan (8.5 inches) Diameter: HDPE (3.44 inches), Tritan diameter (3.5 inches) Weight with cap (grams): HDPE (110 grams), Tritan (180 grams)

Another great Nalgene bottle made in the good old USA! Totally recommended for the single wall bottle for edc!

For years I tried many other water bottles, and then I found these Nalgene ones. They aren't colorful and maybe not pretty, but they work great. They don't break if they fall, you can see how much water there is even without touching it, they don't have strange smells, and above all they have a wide opening, and this is useful in many cases (even for cleaning). I still continue to use them, but for some time on long motorbike trips I have had to limit weight and volume as much as possible. In these cases I don't bring Nalgene but I use plastic bottles, which weigh much less and I can crush/throw/repurchase. Unfortunately, they don't have a wide opening. When a few extra grams and a fixed volume (even if empty) are not a problem, these bottles are a very valid choice. The 16 oz (0.5 liter) version weighs 72 g, the 32 oz (1 liter) version weighs 108 g.

For those wanting a Nalgene bottle but need to shave a few grams this is a good option. Be aware that it is softer & can’t handle as hot as tritan but it can still handle hot enough. This is my EDC bottle that I nest in a titanium cup. The 2 combined weigh similar to a regular tritan Nalgene. Would be even better if the lid was matching white I think. Oh & it’s about 5mm shorter than tritan Nalgene
