Porco Rosso - Savoia S.21 - 1/72 Plastic Model Kit (FJ-1) (japan import)

Love this model. I wish I’d gone for the bigger version, but even at1/72 it goes together very well and looks very good. Takes paint well. Only problem is that the instructions were completely in Japanese! Fortunately, the pictorial instructions were adequate, but it would have been nice to have been able to read the historical notes.

Very good model, everything slots nicely together. The sturts for the pontoons are a bit fragile, so be careful when assembling. The model itself is quite cleverly designed, and the mold is very clean. It also comes with a display stand and a small cart the airplane can be 'parked' on. The coloured plastic is also very nice, I made my plane without using any red paint, and it looks very nice.The airplane is also somewhat customizable, you can configure the airplane to either be one-seat, or two-seat as it is later in the movie. It also comes with a nice little pamphlet written in japanese, I presume it tells the story of the "Savoia" company, but I sadly can't read it. Apropos, beware, the instructions are in Japanese. But to be honest, the set was so neatly designed that I never even needed to look at the instructions while assembling.All in all, very nice.
