We had several blown windows and a polycarb roof. Well we managed to deal with both these issues but still had a very deteriorated handle on the exterior of the sliding door to the garden. I purchased these replacement handles as they look an exact match. They were so easy to fit but the supplied bolts were too long so I reused the bolts from the original handle and job done. I can not imagine it would be to much hard work to install from new. The item is made to a high standard and it is durable. Going by the old handle, the inside was still in perfect condition and I only needed to replace the outside part as the paint had started to flake off where it had been in contact with all types of weather for so many years. Both internal and external handles have screw holes in them and with the handles you get two screws and two screw receivers. You put the receives in the handle you want to be the outside handle then screw it together from the inside handle. This flexibility means that depending which handle you put the screw receivers in, it changes it's handedness to either left or right hand to suit all doors.
