X AUTOHAUX Oil and Dye Injectors Kit 30ml/1 Oz Hand Push Compressor 1/4

Worked OK to inject UV dye into my leaking car AC system, but would have been better if there were a valve in the tube. I filled the syringe (which was much too large for my purposes) with the 7.5ml of dye I had by disconnecting the tube and drawing it in from the open nozzle, then I ran the engine and AC (which was at low pressure but working slightly). Whilst running I connected the adapter to the LP port, the pressure (around 30psi) pushed the plunger out with some force (so would have been better to be holding it down whilst opening a valve. The syringe has a good seal, so I was able to force the plunged down and injected around 5ml of the dye.

I've used it to add oil to my AC low pressure port. The graduated cylinder is really helpful so you can see exactly how much oil you're putting in.Just make sure you don't try to use it on a system that still has pressure in it or you'll have a bad time.

The product works well enough for the needs I have . I used it to get 2.5 ounces of oil into the AC system to satisfy my needs and can relax knowing there's sufficient oil in the system . Have a few paper towels on hand to clean things as you go because there will be oil here and there . There were no oil leaks from the unit at the critical connection points but the procedure just gets a little messy . There is a small learning curve associated with using it but it is not difficult to use . I would recommend this pag oil injector because I am satisfied with it overall .

As soon as it was hooked up to the ac port it just blew the plunger out the top and the dye went everywhere.
