I have an atrium in the middle of the house and the sun beats down and heats up the house very fast. I found these u sail shades, they look very nice and stylish. Decided to give a shot. Turned out to be a great investment. The installations are easy but time consuming. required accurate measurements. Very please after finishing the project. My wife loves it.

I ordered the light grey to use on the side of my house. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the material of this sail. It is heavy and well constructed. It blocks a lot of light and sun keeping the side yard cooler for our hot summers. These are nice looking too.

We have an area we frequently walk between cabins. We have covered porches that cover most of it but we needed something to cover about 10 feet. This is a 3x12 and it doesn’t have to be fully expanded. It’s adjusts to a bit of a smaller size if needed. I put up pictures so you can see mine has a deeper scalloped look because the cable was shortened by about 2 feet. One end of this is against a cabin. We installed the hardware on the side of our patio roof on one side then had to install a board that sticks out a few feet on the other end. This doesn’t blow around in the wind. That could be in part because it’s almost touching a cabin and it breaks the wind. We don’t have it level, one side has a cabin that’s taller than the other side by about a foot. It still hangs & closes just fine. You can choose which side you want to open & close or just attach both so it doesn’t close. Once you figure out what end to secure, the operating string goes on the end that you want to open or close. You can put it on either side of the end you choose. It also come with a hook on a stick with a padded handle to help spread it out or assist with opening & closing. I have a patio loveseat under this and it provides enough shade to keep the sun off of the loveseat and still have a shaded place to walk. It’s made of sun shade material.
