It Sucks ...The Water Right Up!
So I've only used this twice so far so I can speak to longevity, but the noise is far less than previous sumps I've owned and it worked in both clean rain water and a flooded mud puddle. Our yard floods in heavy rains so I use it to divert water to the gardens. So far I'm very happy with it.

Grinding bearings pump not working
It has been just over 1 month. The pump is completely inoperable and has been used just once.

GREAT pump for my needs
When I close/put the cover on my saltwater pool, I put 2 “chlorine” floaters in the water with a cord attached to a pool cover anchor so I can retrieve and add chlorine tabs monthly. I put the pump on the pool stairs and will run it about 5-6 hrs once a week to get the water circulating. This pump is perfect for that. Even tho it’s a saltwater pool I’ve found over many yrs now that keeping some circulating chlorine in the pool during the off season, when I uncover the pool the water is crystal clear even tho there is some dirt on the bottom.

Works as expected
It works as promised. A couple of improvements would be: an on/off switch, some water proof protection for the plug. I used this in a heavy rain and had to wrap the plug in plastic wrap where it joined the extension cord.Nice compact package that's easy to store when not needed.

Junk
I bought this pump to expel water from my basement. During heavy rains I get an inch or sometimes more of water at the low spot of my basement. I plugged this in when I got it, to determine it was functioning. However, when it came time to use it a few weeks later, the seals within the pump were broken. It leaked water from the sides and top of the housing, while spitting out some kind of machine oil. The air getting in through the leak points, wouldn’t allow the pump to prime, so I ended up with water in my basement, and no working pump.I requested a refund, and a UPS pickup, which customers pay for. After 2 weeks and several phone calls to Amazon customer service, I ended up never getting the pump picked up, and had to fight to get my refund. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone in total, talking to incompetent customer service reps, including a floor “supervisor”.What a waste of my time. I finally got my refund, but as far as I’m concerned, Amazon owes me a good $50 for my time. This company is going downhill and fast.I hope an alternative comes about soon. Amazon has lost a lot of my business lately, and I use their services for my business as well.Terrible operation over there at Amazon anymore. Just awful.
