This however doesn't affect gameplay or enjoyment one bit, it's nothing more than a mild annoyance that any reasonable person can easily figure out. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic game, especially for £15. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 13 December 2025* This is a hidden gem, a fairly unknown and quite old euro boardgame, but it is perfect in what it does without unnecessary complication of modern euros, this is elegant and streamlined. Yeah you'll need to download a FAQ as the rulebook is just ok - but this is as good of a classic as Castles of Burgundy. Game that you can keep coming back to. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Surprisingly good game *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 30 January 2023* Bought for a Ken Follet fan as a bit of fun, but was surprised by how good this worker placement style game actually is. Initial rules might seem overwhelming but you get the hang of them after the first play though. Could do with an expansion for more worker and event cards to keep it interesting, however. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just incredible *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 22 June 2021* I am a huge Ken Follett fan so I am quite biased, but I must say, this game is brilliant. For Follett fans it's incredible. If you don't know the book and / or the series, you can still enjoy it (at least my boyfriend liked it), but it's much better when you're familiar with it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Thames & Kosmos Kingsbridge The Pillars of The Earth: The Game - Spin Master Games, Marvel Comic Hunters, Comic Collecting Strategy Card Game for Fans of Marvel Rivals & Action Movies, 1-4 Players, for Ages 14 & Up --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/54574181-thames-and-kosmos-691530-the-pillars-of-the-earth-competitive](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/54574181-thames-and-kosmos-691530-the-pillars-of-the-earth-competitive) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
