Dry and brittle
Dry and brittle when I got them, which was disappointing. I treated them with food-grade mineral oil, and I’m hoping that helps bring some life back into them and improves their longevity. They have potential, but they definitely seemed like they needed some extra care right out of the box and are smaller than I had expected. Picture of before and after the mineral oil for reference.

Safety of the product
I love the size and finish, but I need to use them as a cheese plates. I will be putting food on it and had to wash one to try it. It lost it's shinny finish. Do you think it will still be ok to put food on it ?

Cute for decor, not use.
Nice for decorating. They are not big enough to serve on. I used for table decor so it is okay.
