Cloer 1621 waffle maker for classic heart waffles, 930 W, waffle size 15.5 cm, infinitely selectable browning level, white, metal

This is my second Cloer waffle iron. The first one I got FORTY years ago from my Norwegian parents to keep up with our native customs while living abroad. Very reliable. Worth the price!

Absolutely love it! I was a bit unsure about buying it because it's pricey, but now that I've used it, I'm super happy. Cooks fast and evenly!

Just took delivery of this waffle maker and have made a batch of waffles very quickly and easily. I used a recipe that I already had so cannot comment on the recipes that came with the maker. I would comment that, to me, this is more of a fancy pancake maker as the waffles it produces are relatively thin and don't have those wonderful recesses that syrup and sugar can lodge in, so if you are looking for those waffles with the deep squares in them, this isn't the one for you. I did try to maker an extra thick waffle but it all just ran out over the sides. The good news is that this maker is really easy to keep clean! I'm reasonably happy as I have an induction hob and haven't yet got round to buying a suitable sized frying pan for pancakes which will work with induction heat, this waffle maker was cheaper than any pans I had seen so at least I can make my pancakes again. One note of caution, the whole item gets really hot on the outside so not suitable to let young children use unsupervised.

I was hesitant to spend so much on a waffle iron but after hours of research I am glad I did. Heats up brilliantly, I have never used it above the 1st heat setting. Waffles never stick and even the first one comes out good. Getting into the nooks to clean is bit of a hassle but nothing to do with the iron itself. It feels very solid and I think it will last me a lifetime so it is a worthwhile investment to me.

Made waffles a few times now. Never had any issues. Heat is not perfectly even, but not enough uneven to bother and still better than others I tried in same price range. Also worked great with a ham and cheese. Only con I would say, it doesn’t have an auto-off from what I can tell. But I connected it to a timer outlet plug, just in case

Really pleased with this waffle maker, makes beautifully shaped waffles very rapidly. Once you've made your batter (I used a Jamie Oliver recipe for griddle pan waffles) it takes only 2-3 mins per waffle. The nonstick surface is excellent, had no problems lifting my cooked waffles off. Although, I understand that this can vary depending on recipe -the enclosed leaflet gives some tips on this. Just remember its fitted with a european plug -you'll need an adapter in the UK.

This German brand of waffle makers has been around for as long as I can remember and as I was growing up we always had the heart shaped waffles as a treat. When after 25 years of loyal service the old Cloer waffle maker broke I was relieved to find that they still made them. The waffles are perfect and the maker is small and to easy to clean. Please note that it comes with a European plug.

We tried a number of different ones since our 20-year old German PETRA waffle maker broke. This is fast, powerful and bakes waffles evenly. Not the classic deep, thick waffle - which we do not like. Superb product. Only downside is that it came with a EU plug ad requires an adaptor.

Warms up pretty fast and waffles do not stick but they are way too thin

Tolles Waffeleisen zu einem guten Preis! Hervorzuheben ist die kompakte Größe und die Möglichkeit, den Kabelstecker ins Gehäuse einstecken zu können, somit entfällt der lästige Kabelsalat. Deshalb - auch weil der Artikel gerade im Angebot ist - haben wir ihn für unser Wohnmobil noch ein 2. Mal bestellt, denn auf Waffeln haben wir auch auf dem Campingplatz immer Lust. Dieses Gerät macht richtig schöne, gebräunte Waffeln, wenn man möchte, die Backstärke ist stufenlos von 1-5 einstellbar. Die Waffel vom Foto war auf Stufe 3,5 in 90 Sekunden fertig und ist beidseits gleichmäßig gebräunt. Ab Stufe 4 wird nur die Oberseite dunkler. Mein Rezept für euch: Hessische Schmandwaffel (11 Stück) 150ml Milch, 2 Eier, 100ml Mineralwasser sprudelnd, 100g Schmand oder Creme Fraiche, Prise Salz, 10g Backpulver, 1 Päckchen Vanillezucker, 50g weiche Margarine, 75g Zucker, 250g Weizenmehl 550. Bon appetit!

La gofrera funciona de maravilla. Se calienta rápido y los gofres salen perfectos, crujientes por fuera y suaves por dentro. Fácil de limpiar y de usar.

Jättebra våffeljärn! Den vita delen blir sjukt varm så kanske inte så bra för barnfamiljen. Men i övrigt grym. Enkel att lagra (verkligen kompakt), våfflorna blir fina, och ingenting verkar fastna!
