Very good 100% arabica coffee at a reasonable price.
Been drinking Melitta coffee for decades, as I could buy it on sale for $2.99 in New Jersey; but since I moved to Atlanta, it was $5.99 at Publix. This double-sized can popped up for $7 & change here, so I grabbed a can. If you're ever in the Philadelphia area around Thanksgiving, they have a one-day-per-year factory at their USA headquarters in Cherry Hill, right at the Haddonfield-Berlin Road exit off of I-295 โ Watch their website. Coming home every night from work, I always knew when I was home by the wonderful aroma from their roasters. Alas, they were forced by the awful NJDEP to install a fume incinerator to burn off the VOC's (volatile organic compounds) โ This I know because my late father helped them set it up, as he had decades of experience with his own burnoff furnace's smoke & fume incinerators.

Smooth, Rich, Never Bitter, and Without an unpleasant After-taste
I love to wake up in the morning to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, and with Melitta Coffee, I am never disappointed. Melitta Coffee has a rich bodied taste; it is smooth and never bitter. My husband prefers weaker coffee, but I like mine strong, this is the only brand of coffee that seems to satisfy both our tastes, and I have solved this mystery. When we make our morning pot of coffee, by mid-morning, most coffees tend to get stronger and bitter, and if we have a second cup, there is an unpleasant after-taste. However, when we use Melitta, there is none of that burnt, bitter taste that other coffees tend to have after sitting in the coffee pot for an hour. I sometimes use Melitta Coffee to make ice coffee, and leave it in the fridge. It is refreshing and a nice change from the all the ice water that we drink during the day, and since it is available, my husband drinks less soda. Therefore, if your first or second morning cup of coffee tastes bitter or burnt, try Melitta for a warm and satisfying special experience, or use it for ice coffee for a refreshing and thirst quenching change.

satisfying!
We have a coffee habit at our house. We lived in Central America for five years, often with coffee growing right in the yard, and my children grew up drinking the marvelous brew. No, it doesn't stunt the growth: my son is already 6 feet tall, and two of my daughters are 5'8". We are used to buying locally-grown, freshly roasted coffee for a few dollars a pound. We still want our daily mug now that we're back in the States, and we don't want to pay through the nose. This Melitta is a delicious brew and a good value.

good coffee
After receiving this coffee, I tried it and enjoy it very much! Better tasting from most market brands! Gave my McCafe a run for itโs money!

Love from a coffee snob
I am a full-on coffee snob. I only drink Melitta and Gevalia coffee Gevalia Kaffe French Roast Dark Ground Coffee 12oz because everything else tastes well...awful. I honestly don't know how people drink D&D coffee; it's so watered down. Anyway, I get one of these containers per month and it is delicious. Its strength isn't bitter, but full-bodied with many hints and flavors. The best is that this option is affordable. With the amount of coffee that I drink, that's a must. Unless you're buying Gevalia coffee in bulk at a Costco or something, this is your best option for both your tastebuds and your wallet. Bottom line: I would recommend this to a friend, especially one who thinks D&D coffee is too watered down and tastes like sugary water, and Starbucks tastes bitter and burnt.

My favorite in a can
Of all the ground coffee that I've tried, this is by far my favorite. I'm not big on flavored and too groggy in the A.M. to even think about grinding beans and waking everyone else up. This stuff smells great when you open the can and the grind is moist and powder like, not gritty and granular. Taste is a subjective thing. I just like it. It is pricey though and I tend to look for deals and get rainchecks when the local grocery store has it on sale (lately 9.99 for the 24 oz. can). The supplier through Amazon has better deals for the flavored varieties so this must be their best seller.I was getting the 24 oz delivered on a schedule for a little less than $10 a can but it became unavailable. I was really happy to then see it for $8 and ordered 4 but when it arrived I realized I hadn't read the fine print since they were 11 oz. cans. So yes it is somewhat expensive and that's worth 1 to 2 stars but as for the coffee itself, it's 5 star all the way. For reading the fine print I give myself no stars.

Great product at a great price!
Publix stopped carrying Melita coffee! I panicked!! I am so glad I checked Amazon! I have used melita for over 20 years and never looked back. I used to have to get it directly from the company years ago.
