Rain-X Concentrated Screenwash with Rain Repellent - Down to -15°C - 5L

This Rain-X concentrated screenwash has turned out to be a smart upgrade for keeping the windscreen clean and clear in all kinds of weather. Once diluted as directed, it gives a streak-free finish that really helps with visibility in rain and spray, and the rain-repellent formula makes water bead and run off the screen much more easily. That’s especially noticeable at higher speeds on wet roads when visibility matters most. The fact that it protects down to around -15 °C is a big plus through the colder months, so I haven’t had to worry about freezing even on early morning drives. It mixes well with water, and a 5-litre container goes a long way, which feels good value compared with filling up ready-mixed bottles all the time. It’s not the cheapest concentrate available, but the performance really justifies it. If you want cleaner glass, better repellent action, and less wiping effort during poor weather, this product does exactly what it promises.

I’ve tried a few different screenwashes over the years, but this Rain-X concentrate is definitely one of the better ones. It actually cuts through dirt and road grime properly instead of just smearing it around. The rain-repellent effect is noticeable too – once the wipers pass over the glass, the water beads off much more quickly, especially in heavy rain. I’ve used it in colder weather and it’s held up fine. No freezing issues so far, and it mixes easily in the reservoir without any strong chemical smell. Visibility is always spot on afterwards which is exactly what you want in winter. For the price, you get something that actually performs better than the generic brands. I’d happily buy it again as its great value, it's really effective at keeping the windscreen clear and the repellent effect genuinely makes driving in rain a bit easier. It also doesn't freeze even in the deepest of Scottish winter.

When the screen is washed it makes the screen a bit hazy, but once tha clears up this screen wash does exactly what I'd hoped it would. You can see the water bead on the screen when it's raining, something that certainly didn't happen before

If you like a clean windscreen where the rain just repels of while driving this is the screen wash for you, you can drive on motorways with out having your wipers constantly going, it’s easy to just fill up your washers with this and water mix it’s always a little more expensive than you regular screen wash, but if you want to be scientific about it using your wipers less give your car less drag and will save a microscopic amount of fuel.

Not too bad of a scent. Finally rained and was able to see much more clearly than I could when raining before. Great for wet motorway drives.

I keep on buying it. Smells ok. Cleans and tops up my hydrophobic repellent. No streaks. It could always be cheaper, so buy it when on offer.

I purchased this in January and have been using it since. It was bought as a replacement for standard supermarket screenwash, mainly to improve visibility during wet motorway driving over this very wet winter. Cleaning performance is noticeably stronger than basic screenwash. It clears road film and grime quickly, and the windscreen feels genuinely cleaner after use rather than just wiped. The main benefit is the built-in rain-repellent effect. After a short period of use, water begins to bead and roll off the windscreen in light to medium rain. At higher speeds, the wipers are barely needed, which makes motorway driving in wet conditions far more comfortable. One thing worth noting: if the windscreen isn’t properly cleaned before first use, the wipers can sound slightly squeaky. A thorough clean beforehand resolves this. Overall, this combines effective cleaning with the benefits of Rain-X treatment without needing to apply a separate product. I will continue buying it once this bottle is finished.
