Well, my very nice shiny 10 year old silver cooker went out with a bang, literally! A loud pop, followed by the heat in the fan oven giving way to just a whirring fan, circulating unheated air. And a very cold piece of uncooked fish. Thoughts of time to buy a new cooker occurred, but a quick consultiation with Mr Google suggested the element was a goner. Amazon to the rescue and an easy job to order this very well priced replacement element. Delivery was quick as a flash, getting an electrician in to change the element took slightly longer (and I delayed it still further by buying a new bathroom heater, also from Amazon, so I could get the electrician to do a few bits and pieces).The electrician said that my shiny silver cooker did not look 10 years old and was amazed by quite how cheap the replacement element was from Amazon.Happy customer.

The element arrived very promptly. I fitted it myself using the instructions on the internet (and saved myself about £70 by doing that!). It is a 5-10 minute simple job once you know how. The element was slightly askew so slightly harder to fit than I think it should have been thus only the 4 stars. I can't say for certain though as this is the first one I have ever fitted. I have only had it for about a month but it is working perfectly so far and I would recommend it.

Used for a main oven -old creda. Prompt delivery, working (so far - hope it lasts), very good price. All good.

Very easy to fit - even for a non expert. Very compatable with the genuine part which costs far more. A good well aligned fit in the cooker. Now just see how long it lasts.

Like for like replacement of the original Hotpoint element.Took 15 minutes to remove old one and replace with the new one.The screw holding the old element in place was seized with the heat-so applied penetrating fluid,(otherwise would have been a 10 minute job).Coated the securing screw with high temperature grease,to make replacement easier next time.The new element is quicker to reach the set temperature too.Bought 2 replacement Elements for just over £10,so had free postage and have a spare-just in case!Delivered well packaged in 2 days.Thankyou Amazon for a first-class prompt service.

Make sure you keep hold of the wires when you unplug the busted element, else they'll disappear inside the oven. Bar that its a one minute job to swap the elements out.Got a free cooker effectively as the neighbour was chucking it out as it "was broken".
