I use this in my house and get readouts of the status of the air easily. When I vacuum the house the monitor picks up the disturbance of dust and registers it on the app. This proves to me that the monitor works as it should. I also get the humidity, time, temperature, etc. I'm sure this would alert me if there is a fire or some other disturbance in the house while I'm away. The price was fantastic. It alerts me whenever the monitor values go outside of my parameters. Good buy

Love this! Love being able to check my house temp and air quality when I am away. It stays connected, easy to set up and does what it says.

Works well and very easy to place

Pros: Compact. Stylish. Easy to read display. East to configure with the Govee app. Easy to pair with Govee air purifier and humidifier for more accurate readings. PM2.5 monitoring. Cons: The PM2.5 monitor is very sensitive when the humidifier is running. If the humidifier runs for more than a couple minutes, it causes the PM2.5 readings to spike which, in my case, causes the Govee Air Purifier to kick into high speed. Even with this monitor and the humidifier at opposite ends of the room, it still happens. Overall, I still like this monitor despite the humidity sensitivity of the PM2.5 monitor. If this issue didn’t happen, it would be a solid 5/5 rating.

Appears to be working but I had to do a test. Initially when I got this, it read nothing on the meter for pm2.5 reading for several hours.i was about ready to return this but decided to light a candle and blown it out near it. It shot up to the max quickly. Ever since doing this it's reading the air quality. In fact after cooking breakfast (frying) it increased a lot and then decreased after 20 minutes. Seems okay. I will continue to evaluate this.

I wasn’t sure if I really needed the GoveeLife Smart Air Quality Monitor, but then I started questioning the quality of air in my workshop—where the dust flies like confetti and paint fumes have become my uninvited coworkers. This little gadget is surprisingly useful. It doesn’t just sit there judging me—it actually tells me when I should maybe open a window before I accidentally turn my lungs into a sawdust smoothie. The PM2.5 sensor? Yeah, that’s a fancy way of saying it knows when my studio air is trying to kill me slowly. The temperature and humidity readings are handy too, because apparently even my paint likes to be comfy. It connects to WiFi and lights up with an LED display that’s just bright enough to remind me, “Hey, maybe don’t inhale that.” Honestly, it’s become my workshop sidekick—quiet, judgmental, and surprisingly helpful. If you’re in a space where the air might be a little sketchy, this thing is worth every penny.

Overall, this is a great air monitor for the money and I love the smart home integration and automation you can setup if you have other Govee products. I bought 2 Govee HEPA air purifiers, one for my downstairs, and one for our master bedroom. I also bought 2 of these air monitors (even though the air purifiers also have their own PM 2.5 sensors). For the downstairs, I placed one of the monitors on the other side of the house and have automations so that if air quality dips in that room, it can still trigger my Govee HEPA air purifier on the same level into high mode to help purifier and circulate the air quicker along the ~1,250 sqft area. Once healthier air quality conditions are met I can also set an automation to put the HEPA filter back down to auto / low. The temperature readings are fairly accurate out of the box, and you’re able to make adjustments if needed. I also have a Govee space heater that unfortunately can’t automatically turn on or off to maintain a set temperature, but with this sensor and automation, I can set commands to automatically turn on or off the space heater to keep the room within a set temperature range. The unit also shows humidity, which is also very important for indoor air quality and health. I’ve learned that in some rooms or conditions my humidity can get a bit higher than ideal in warmer weather or after a shower in our master bathroom. I’ve been managing that now by leaving on the bathroom ventilation longer than I would have previously. But I’m also looking into adding Govee humidifiers and dehumidifiers to help manage it more closely and also be able to take advantage of smart home automation to handle that as well. The only thing I was a little disappointed with is that it doesn’t monitor other key air quality metrics that some other brands offer (VOCs, PM10, CO2, etc), and would be great if these could also double as carbon monoxide or combustible gas detectors. However, given the price point, I’m sure if they offered these features the units would be a bit more expensive. Given that, I was torn on trying to decide between eating this 4 or 5 stars (I would rate it 4.5 if given the option by Amazon), but ultimately, given the price vs features and performance it does have, I think a 5 star rating is still fair and justifiable.

After purchasing this device and having to return and get another, neither had working P2.5 sensors. All of the readings were 0 or 1 ug/m^3, even with a soot producing lit match below the sensor. I tried upgrading the firmware. Also, the first Item I received was clearly used, but of course I didn't buy a refurb product. The overall build and platform is nice, I have other Govee products, so this was going to fit in nicely, but I was very disappointed with this product.

Fantastic gadget. I have it for my humidifier and air filter that now all work automatically. 10 out of ten Govee. 👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m very please with this. You can change what gets displayed, but for me I like having the pollution monitor. It’s amazing what causes air quality to decrease. It connects to my other Govee home equipment. I got this to monitor my kids bedrooms along with the air filter.

La pantalla se ve bien, puede ser reloj o te dice la calidad del aire, vinculado a la app puedes tener un registro absoluto del clima en tu casa y si tienes un purificador de la misma marca lo puedes vincular y en automático se acciona cuando detecta mala calidad de aire.

Stop working after 2 weeks. Can not return it

It works just like the manufacturer advertised what I like about this air quality monitor let say you have a Govee humidifier and a Govee air purifier the all work in perfect harmony and the best part there are easy to setup
