A NEW STREAMING SERIES ON PEACOCK STARTING JULY 9, STARRING JENNIFER GARNER, REGINA HALL, CHLOË SEVIGNY, GEMMA CHAN, AND D'ARCY CARDEN. From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Hotel Nantucket : After tragedy strikes, food blogger Hollis Shaw gathers four friends from different stages in her life to spend an unforgettable weekend on Nantucket. Hollis Shaw’s life seems picture-perfect. She’s the creator of the popular food blog Hungry with Hollis and is married to Matthew, a dreamy heart surgeon. But after she and Matthew get into a heated argument one snowy morning, he leaves for the airport and is killed in a car accident. The cracks in Hollis’s perfect life―her strained marriage and her complicated relationship with her daughter, Caroline―grow deeper. So when Hollis hears about something called a “Five-Star Weekend”―one woman organizes a trip for her best friend from each phase of her life: her teenage years, her twenties, her thirties, and midlife―she decides to host her own Five-Star Weekend on Nantucket. But the weekend doesn’t turn out to be a joyful Hallmark movie. The husband of Hollis’s childhood friend Tatum arranges for Hollis’s first love, Jack Finigan, to spend time with them, stirring up old feelings. Meanwhile, Tatum is forced to play nice with abrasive and elitist Dru-Ann, Hollis’s best friend from UNC Chapel Hill. Dru-Ann’s career as a prominent Chicago sports agent is on the line after her comments about a client’s mental health issues are misconstrued online. Brooke, Hollis’s friend from their thirties, has just discovered that her husband is having an inappropriate relationship with a woman at work. Again! And then there’s Gigi, a stranger to everyone (including Hollis) who reached out to Hollis through her blog. Gigi embodies an unusual grace and, as it happens, has many secrets. The Five-Star Weekend is a surprising and captivating story about friendship, love, and self-discovery set on Nantucket. It will be a weekend like no other. The characters are flawed yet fabulous each in their own way. Very insightful to read how our lives can cross and become intertwined even though we are not expecting them to intersect. Strong friendship is the key, a loving and forgiving read. Review: i mean if you want a “beach read” - A quintessential summer read with amazing character development and a great plot. I really enjoyed reading about all the different women and their experiences and marks they left on the protagonist’s life. I was a little disappointed with the “big reveal” at the end and how it was handled but if you’re looking for a pleasant sit on your pool lounger with a cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc 😉 this one is for you.

Heartwarming
Story of a woman and her best friends throughout her 55 years of life. She hosts a weekend get together in Nantucket. There are some surprise twists, some healing and most importantly the strength and unfailing love and support of women's friendships. An easy read.

for light rather mindless summer reading..
It was fine and engaging, very very predictable but fun. Nothing to think about after you finish it. Just oh that was cute. Descriptive and interesting premise.

Great soap opera-y read
I always enjoy Elin Hildebrand! She has a knack for writing books from multiple perspectives that leave you engaged with all of the characters. I also find that her writing endears the characters to me in the end, even when I don’t like their choices throughout. She also has a knack for wrapping up stories in a neat little bow. Enjoyed this one and got super sucked into the drama. Well done!

Five Star Story
This was just the kind of book I wanted to read! It’s perfect for the summer. All the characters were easy to get to know and follow. It wasn’t too heavy or too light!

A Great Summer Read
After her husband unexpectedly passes away, Hollis Shaw, who is a beloved online Martha Stewart type, decides to tackle her loneliness and grief by inviting four other women to join her for a Nantucket weekend of drinking, shopping, and bonding. Each of the woman, though, is struggling with secrets and fears. The story of how they all make it through the weekend and come out stronger and happier is authentic and entertaining. This may be the first Hildebrand novel I’ve read, but it won’t be my last.

Fun with just enough depth
Such a great beach read, fun, frisky with just enough character development to pull you into the story. I liked it a lot.

wanted to read before series came out …
Books are always better than the movie or series!!! Now I’m all ready!!! I wasn’t sure about the book in the beginning! I seek peace not drama in life but reading of others drama makes me appreciate the peace I sometimes find!! It was well worth the read! Sometimes a little escape from reality is all you need!!! Thanks for the adventure x

I did not read it at the beach 😜
I liked the book although I did not read it at the beach 😜😜. I have no clue why people call this the perfect beach book. Why do I even have to read when I’m at the beach????

Terrible print
The print of the book is pathetic. I have another book from the same writer that was bought from the US and it was so much better. Can’t believe I wasted 700 rupees on this.
