Some of the metal pieces fell apart the first time we used it. The rings were not closed so some of the metal rings fell out. I had to use pliers to close the gaps between the rings.

Must have object for cast iron lovers. I also put them in bottles and by swishing the chain around with soap get the bottles cleaner than I could with a bottle brush.

It's like an abrasive sponge that doesn't get nasty, and a steel wool that doesn't rust.

Purchased this after seeing a similar posted in a blog. I had recently purchased a cast iron pan and was looking for someing I could use that was handy for cleaning it. This fits the bill perfectly! When done I toss it in the dishwasher and it's clean as well. It doesn't take up much space on the "kitchen tool drawer" either. It seems to be well made and should last my lifetime!

I've used it several times now and am very happy with it. I was afraid it would fall apart like some have reported but mine is fine so far. It does a great job when the cast iron skillet has food stuck to the bottom and also does a good job on those black stains that build up on aluminum cookie sheets, toaster oven drip pans and on the outside of old pots. I've even used it to remove the majority of gunk on glass casserole cookware after lasagna and tomato sauce residue on pots because, otherwise, you end up with a gunky sponge. This removes most of it so the sponge can do the final cleaning. And it rinses clean. All in all, I think it was certainly worth the price.

I literally cannot remember how I cleaned my cast iron pan before I got this? I only bought it last month and already it is an absolutely essential tool for me. It's a game-changer.

I absolutely love this. I have used cast iron my entire life and so has my Mom. I have never found anthing that works as good as this. We are buying more and give them as gifts.
