RIDGID 18V Cordless RECIPROCATING Saw Tool ONLY R8646B

Reliable tool. Have been using it mostly to cut down bamboo. Works great. Weight is reasonable. I am using a 6Ah battery, which lasts for a long time. All in all, one of my most used tools around the farm.

Great price for what I got. I wanted this for pruning trees. I cut a few 5" limbs also. Drains the battery when using for that size. But worked great. The blade release is sturdy. Has a lock to prevent accidental energizing when changing blades.

The saw works great , no issues and runs smoothly. Also has light on front so you can follow your saw line and get straight cut.

This saw replaced an earlier model that was used heavily for years and eventually wore out. This newer model has some improvements over the older one and works just as well. When I attempted to register the saw on Ridgid's website, it did not accept the registration because Amazon was not listed on the sellers option. I contacted Ridgid's customer service, who stated that Amazon is a legitimate seller of their products, but that they "do not work hand-in-hand with Amazon." Seems like poor behavior on Ridgid's part, as the product information promises a warranty. Still, we are happy with the product and Amazon offered it for a good price.

I really like this tool

Doesn't hold the blades tight at all..it came with a thick blade and it is still a little loose,but put a common metal blade in it and it is uncontrollable to be able to cut straight...my son has one just like it and it doesn't have this problem It also looks like maybe it was a return .because the black metal stop guard is all scratched up..returning this thing I also just tried to add this to my ridgid tools account warranty and they would NOT warranty it even with an amazon proof of purchase,they don't recognise any amazon sellers as a dealer licensed..so beware of this buying any Ridgid tools online AND NOW AFTER LOOKING AT OTHER REVIEWS AND OTHER PLACES SEEING THE NEWEST ONE..THIS LOOKS TO BE THE OLDER MODELS BECAUSE THE "RIDGID" ON THE SIDE IS MADE INTO THE MOLDED BODY,NOT LIKE THE NEWER ONES WITH A STICKER LABEL..THIS IS DEFINETELY A USED ONE!! The last picture is how it was delivered just in some kind or cheap plastic and no Original box or wrapping...this definetetly is not a new product from Ridgid

The Ridgid 18 V reciprocating saw was a Good by. I've used it quite a few times and it works great.
