It's good, but it's not Thornton's.
This is really nice liquorice toffee and I love that it comes as a traditional slab with hammer. However I used to really enjoy the Thornton's liquorice toffee and I can't in good conscience give it five stars knowing that it could be better. Despite this, I would happily buy it again and enjoy the experience.

Liquorice is like marmite, you either love it or hate it, if you like it there is plenty of it and its quality and if you have friends who like it it is giftable, it's value for money, keep it cool and the hammer breaks it nicely.AMAZING!

Delicious toffee
Arrived promptly and well packaged. Bought this product before for an Xmas pressie for someone a few years ago. They let us try a bit. Liked it so much we bought one for ourselves too. This bar was a present for my husband. He is still chipping away at it and enjoy chunks off it weeks after Xmas. At least it keeps him quiet for a while - lol! The little bars of Walkers toffee are great, don't get me wrong, but there is nothing like smacking a purpose made hammer into a huge slab of hard toffee.. Be warned though, any little bits that fly off and land on any material will melt into the material and be very difficult to remove, even with carpet cleaner and in-wash stain removers - sheets, clothes, carpet etc. So be careful whilst hammering away that you don't let miniscule chips of toffee land on your fabrics. If I were you I'd give a quick once over with the vaccuum cleaner afterwards just as a precaution.

The best toffee in the world?
In my opinion, absolutely! I love toffee, I love liquorice. The two combined is even better, just perfect. I bought this after getting the variety slab where a quarter of it was this stuff, and loved it so much I just wanted more of that flavour. It's not too hard and softens quickly in the mouth, but be careful if you have dental work. Also, if you have light coloured carpets, be careful when smashing this up as you don't want this getting trodden into the pile as it will pretty much stain it! If like me you adore both of these flavours, you will love this. The liquorice flavour isn't too intense, and even a friend who isn't too keen on liquorice liked it because it had that sweet toffee taste and texture. Go get some!

The BEST tasting Caramels EVER
These are so good, I even melted some down caramels and made caramel apples. So good.

Walker's Toffee is the best.
We've ordered Walker's toffee many times though this was the first time we'd ordered the Liquorice flavor. It was every bit as creamy as their regular toffee with a wonderful taste of liquorice. Highly recommend.
