Really nice looking hinge. Much easier to install than standard book-style hinges. If the design works for your gate, they are highly recommended. Well made, solid. Easy to adjust as the gate sags over time.

We put our 7' driveway gates on these. Real heavy gates, but the swing on these is effortless. Really smooth and pretty easy to install....as it goes. The gates also have wheels for support so the J hinges don't carry all the weight. But they do their share. Highly recommended.

Nice, sturdy hinges. Will be using these for dual metal gates and they should work just fine. However, am disappointed in the lack of precision of the male insert and female receiver as they are not built to tight specifications. They have what results as a 1/2" of up, down, side-to-side slop (play) at the end of the bolt. Since these are going to go through the actual 3 inch metal gale post, the accommodating holes drilled in the posts will need to be precise to eliminate the play and prevent distortion of the softer aluminum due to the play.

Super strong and easy to use after installing. You may need two people to get it into the holes.
