Great flexible money saving fish tank filter!
Update: 1 Month+, rest remains as stated, really pleased with this pump. Algae bloom is gone, water changes, etc replaced faded decorations, restocked fish, added new pics. Less food is sucked into this filter than any I have had, it stays atop the water for hours!Negatives: Its blue vs black with silver sticker ( I may remove), bit short of a cord, can be loud with air, and if you let it get too clogged, it will be an issue, unlike external that just overflow past the clogged filter. You have to be careful with internal filters, I have experimented with methods. It has a bit of a learning curve coming from external filter. Way more pros than cons, so get those out of the way first.Bubbles are not necessary, but breaking the water surface is to release gasses, so angled upward flow to interrupt water seems best; I direct into the front glass and use the air clip to direct the flow into the corner pushing the water upward. I will be posting another review on the JQP-1000F in my 29 gallon, one picture included here to show angled air clip. The motor does get quieter the deeper in the water/tank, but it will breach the surface less, so I keep it near the top. I removed the air tube and capped it off. You can run this sucker sideways, at the top or bottom, really position it in any direction you see fit.For filtration, you want mechanical, biological, and chemical, in that order, with chemical (carbon) being optional. I experimented with a few setups. The sponges alone will do both mechanical and bio, but since you can customize, I did!Starting at the bottom, I have the rectangle sponge it ships with, then the circular one, with a standard blue/white filter pad on top, I have experimented with a 50 micron polishing pad on top of that. The middle one has the rectangle sponge with a blue/white filter pad behind and a polishing pad behind, and inside has the ceramic rings ( I have ceramic rocks so that maybe moot) and I place a polishing pad atop that. Finally, the third, the top cartridge, I have the square sponge, with blue/white filter pad, and 2 polishing pads behind, and inside I have bio balls, with a carbon infused sponge on top of the balls. I used plastic balls at first, then switched to smaller ones with a tiny sponge inside. The sponges are best on the outside, as my algae eater sucks on it, and filter pads get sucked out, it becomes hairy. The polishing pads collect stuff, but haven't really made the water clear as expected. Each layer does collect stuff, but it maybe a bit unnecessary and overkill.Keeping it clean and not over filtering matters. The sponges it ships with are more than adequate, but since you can customize this, I experimented. I may switch to 100 micron or greater polishing pads or just ditch them. The blue/white generic pad seems to do a good enough job with the sponges and doesn't restrict flow. The polishing pads can become an issue if clogged. If you restrict flow to much it will hurt or kill the fish!!!Previous remarks below:This is a day 2 review, so its a review in progress, but thus far I am quite please. This replaced a Aqueon 75 on a 75 gallon tank, after having had 2 of them and some 11 x 12 boxes of filters over the years... I have another 29 Gallon tank with a Aqueon 30 for now. I live in an area with lots of calcium, and it would build up on the external filter, and all over the lid, light, etc, yuk!!! Plus the external filters would make noise from water sounds to the motor when it gets dirty after time, and you can't clean them, I have tried, re-lubed, etc, they never go quiet or resume speed. Granted this may degrade over time, we shall see. This unit is quiet, louder than expected, but overall quieter than even a new Aqueon 75, less any water sounds, this unit makes none. Unless you open up the air, it can get pretty noisy then, unless you put it pretty deep, the bubbles make the noise, not the unit. I have it really low and it like spurts some air and its barely audible.I really like the options for flexible media, I added in some per some others pictures, and have some balls coming, and may add in some charcoal, the only likely to be semi-frequently replaceable aspect of the whole setup. I am please that I wont have to keep buying filters, and have some choice over what works and does not, and I can see some of it working in action. Loving the clear aspect, though wish the motor was black, but all other options that are black have different media and not clear.Only negatives thus far, power cord is kinda short, air tube regular is a little weak/plastic, doesn't fully turn off which is ok, gets me the bursts, and the motor being blue vs black. Long as this thing last, I will be VERY pleased, and tempted to buy a backup at the BF/CM prices since 2 x is like 1 x Aqueon 75. I also ordered the other smaller one for my 29 gallon, so I will have 2 of the same filter setups etc of the 2 sizes, small and medium. The large one draws too much wattage, or I would have gone that route, thus far so good!My pleco approves, and helped cleaned off the surface of the filter some, so that may help with clogging. Though I may swap out that media. I have a bit of a algae bloom, but the Aqueon 75 wasnt doing much even with new filters. I have released some sediment and it cleared it out pretty well, though the surface seems to have stuff, it does seem to clear but more floats there than I am used to, but that's good at feeding time. The suction is much less on the filter than I am used to, but it is sucking and filtering, and thus far doing its job! Any major changes I will update!Great product JQP-1500F thus far with a 2nd JQP-1000F on the way!

TARARIUM Aquarium Filter Powerful 260GPH for 35-75 Gallon Fish Tank
I bought the TARARIUM Aquarium Filter Powerful 260GPH for 35-75 Gallon Fish Tank filter for my red eared slider turtle's tank (55 gallon tank with about 25 gallons of water). I rescued the turtle and honestly had no idea how dirty these guys are. I have had to replace multiple filters, so I bought this as a replacement and as a second filter to the one I already had. The filter uses no cartridges (saves $$), it has foam that you take out and clean each time it needs cleaning. The foam gets dirty pretty quickly but there is no additional cost for extra filters unless the foam detierorates, although that has not been an issue yet! It functions well and cleans the water and the filth well. It has a hose that uses air (I attach the hose to my a fake plants branch) and it creates a strong stream or current that my turtle loves to stand in, the pressure massages him! I have had the filter for a few months now and I waited to write the review so I could provide a real review and I am extremely happy with this filter. I would buy again and recommend. It is durable, quiet and my turtle loves it! I reached out to the company when I received it because I thought I was missing something and they responded right away. Customer service is good too! I don't know how it would be for fish, the water is pushed pretty hard by the air, but I am happy with it for my turtle!!!

Very powerful
This filter is very powerful. It has the ability to add oxygen to the tank quickly along with being a good wave maker as well, depending on where you place it in the tank. For a large aquarium its an average size filter, just long. You can place it vertical or horizontal, whichever is best for you. The noise level is there. I've had aquariums for years from Cichlids to gold fish and many in between, along with many kinds of filters. There are some extremely quiet filters out these days but don't expect this filter to be one of them. This is the most powerful filter I have ever used and with power comes a noise. As for cleaning, it gets the tank chrystal clear. Changing the filter is very easy and full adjustable to the size of the tank by easily removing parts of the filter to fit size of any tank.PRO: The biggest advantage for me is having to no longer by bioballs, coal packets etc. That is the biggest expense owning an aquarium. It builds up over time. With this filter you just wash the sponges and you're good. You may even be able to add other filtration articles such as rocks or bioballs if you feel the need too.OVERALL: Best purchase I have ever made for an aquarium. Would purchase again for my next aquarium project.
