2nd HDD in laptop for Lots of storage...
Hey Guyzz.. Bought this Caddy for making some modification to my 5 year old laptop. I Installed WD SSD 240GB to the laptop's provided HDD space to install Operating system as the basic function will run on OS only and this only will help to run the laptop faster. For storage I used the old HDD came with laptop with this caddy in DVD drive space. Unable to used the DVD now a days DVD is hardly used for data transfer so No loss for me as the function will no longer available. same can also be used with SATA (DVD) to USB Converter cable. Now SSD + HDD running on same laptop with best performance like a new laptop with NO LAG. Very useful product. Need to install the OS to SSD to improve the performance and use HDD for storage. Before buying, just check the thickness of Caddy u need to buy as the caddy comes in two different sizes. You can check the DVD Drive thickness with your laptop model using GOOGLE search. Thanks to the seller and amazon. Hope the information is helpful.
