Q: What are the ingredients? Is this only lye? The title stain cleaner with lye is a little misleading!

The so called LYE in USA in Europe Called Sodium Hydroxide NaOH. You can buy NaOH powder Technical Grade which around contains 99% NaOH, or concentrated solution of NaOH with Water H2O, which contains 50 % weight NaOH with 50% weight H2O. So the so called 100 % LYE is confusing. The strongest of so called LYE solution Contains a mixture of NaOH / H2O 50:50. With chemicals in Europe is mandatory to display in the label the main ingredients. If H2O contains about 50% of the product then it should be displayed in the label. They are not speculating, but they are confusing people pretending the product is 100% lye, while it contains 50 % WATER.

I use it for soap. It's the only one I've found that says 100% lye.

Q: will it unclog a blockage 6 feet down the line

I don't know about 6 feet down but unclog my bath tub beautifully for almost 1 year. Price is good worth to try. Good luck.

Q: how should i use this exactly for a slow running drain due to hair build up?

Instructions are on the container. Is it a shower drain? Do NOT use in a toilet as it creates heat and may cause cracking. Follow all instructions on container. This stuff is WAY WAY stronger than anything you see in the stores. I bought it after watching the plumber when a snake didn't work for him, he used this magic stuff. It is VERY VERY caustic so I wore mask, goggles, gloves, long sleeves. DO NOT BREATH VAPORS. You only need about a tablespoon but I have used half a container for large drains. Be VERY VERY CAREFUL when using, but it works amazingly!!! Has saved me hundreds of dollars.
