Nothing wrong with the wax
I've been making pomades, hair fiber, hair clay, using products like this.If you're wanting to substitute Beeswax for Candalilla Wax, just be aware that Candalilla is an emulsifying wax, just as much as it's a binder. So you might be used to putting something like 5 grams of Shea butter into your recipe. But I gotta say... that's a good way to make a body butter or a beard pomade or something, but not a good recipe for combing your hair.So you'd probably have to aim at 2 grams of Shea butter instead. They say that Candalilla wax is two times harder than beeswax. The instruction I got was "put half as much Candalilla as you would Beeswax"... but with it's emulsification process... it can really go soft quickly.I don't think I'm going to completely abandon beeswax, just simply because it behaves well, in a pomade. The only drawback to beeswax is good for the skin and hair, but too much of it can cause buildup on the scalp. If this happens with Candalilla Wax, then it's not a big deal. Just wash your hair with vinegar. But with Beeswax, it strangles new hair growth before it begins, and you'll go bald. So, I can see me dumping in something like 15 grams of beeswax into a 100 gram recipe, and putting an additional 15 grams of Candalilla Wax into the recipe.

Good Product
This was my first time using another wax other than bee's for my balms and salves. I found this product to work VERY well in place and actually has a less grainy texture than bees. I would recommend and use again.

good wax
I use these for several of the skin care items I make and have had no issues with this particular brand. They work great and the products have turned out perfectly!

Disappointed
Bought 2lbs. One package was solid from being smashed. Dark yellow to brown instead of light yellow. Very sticky, don't trust to make my product. Bought a different brand previously that I will go back to.

Good Alternative to Beeswax
These pellets are strange at first but they melt down well and mix easily with other wax. Good vegan alternative to beeswax. Thank you :)
