My only disappoint was the quality of skeins provided and no instruction manual. Otherwise, very satisfied. Great for a beginner. Large assortment of needles, hooks, measuring tapes + scissors and other items.Recommend if your a beginner to purchase one with instruction manual. If your advanced in knitting or crocheting you will be also be disappointed in the quality of skeins provided. The bag is useful and cute with lots of extra pockets which is a plus!

Great basic knitting set! I recently picked up crocheting and have been doing so with a friend who wants to learn how to knit. I know how to knit already but it’s been some years since I’ve done so, so I decided to pick up this set so I can see what I remember, and try to get back into it. For a basic needle set, it’s great - basically the equivalent of a set of aluminum crochet hooks. The needles are very light and feel like aluminum crochet hooks, so I assume these are also aluminum. It comes with needle tip covers, a tape measure, scissors, a knitting needle gauge, some super soft yarn, an adorable bag (part of the reason I chose to get this kit in particular, and much better quality than I expected to get), and of course knitting needles. You get needles in size 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 3.5 mm, 4.0 mm, 4.5 mm, 5.0 mm, 6.0 mm, 7.0 mm, and 8.0 mm, so this will cover a wide range of projects. The ends are clearly marked with their sizes. Due to the length of the needles, you’ll also be able to do more projects. Just be sure you’re paying attention to how long the needles you’re ordering are to make sure it’s what you want - mine are 14 inches

This is a nice set. But my package arrived well packaged in a box with the box in good condition, but the needle case was broken and there was only 4 needles present. There are also two missing tip protectors (one blue and one yellow). The light yellow yarn was partially unwound and frayed at the end. But enough of the bad news.The yarn is soft, but the amounts are very small so these would only be suitable for a small project. The writing is in a foreign language so I have no way of know what gauge of yarn there is, but from experience I suspect these are acrylic worsted weight yarn. The knitting needles are long ones and are very nicely made. Each pair is individually packaged together, so no need to carry larger storage when only a small one for the needle that doesn’t have the yarn on it. When knitting a test square, these needles were great to work with if you like metal needles (which I do). The snips are okay, not dull, but not the sharpest pair I ever worked with.The project bag is very well made. It zips closed on the top which makes traveling or storing a project nice so things stay inside the tote, but there is enough of a gap to allow yarn to be zipped in there, but still work on the project. There is a small zipped pouch attached to the front so small items can be stored in there and easy to access if you want to keep the main area zipped closed. This made of a very sturdy canvas that appears it will withstand some heavy usage.A really nice kit, The needles and case are excellent, but missing items does take away from the overall experience. This would be a nice gift for the knitter in your life, or simply to treat yourself to a decent set of needles and supplies.
