Quality heavy hardware
Heavy and attractive. These secure my chicken coop doors from predators with an added snap clip (not included with these). Great hardware.

Great price for high quality hardware.
Purchased a few of these latches for my new shed to match the other black metal hardware on the shed. They match perfectly and are very high quality. The latch movement is smooth if installed properly. Great price for high quality hardware.

It actually is stainless steel.
Unlike many other slide bolts on Amazon, this is actually made out of stainless steel. Many on Amazon says it is stainless steel, when it actually is just chrome plated steel. While, the slide bolt is made out of stainless steel, supplied screws are tin plated screws. Depending on the quality of plating, it may be ok, but too early to tell. In my opinion, screws should be stainless steel as well. If the screws start to rust, I will replace them.

Sturdy, Secure, and Easy to Install!
This 4-inch gate latch slide bolt is exactly what I needed to secure my backyard gate. The build quality is excellentโheavy-duty metal that feels solid and reliable. I really appreciate the padlock hole feature, which adds an extra layer of security without needing any complicated mechanisms. Installation was quick and simple with just a few screws, and the bolt slides smoothly without any sticking. Itโs also weather-resistant, which is a must since itโs exposed to the elements. Whether you're using it for a garden gate, shed, or even a barn door, this latch gets the job done and then some. Great value for the priceโhighly recommended!
