I use them in the garage for tool organization and holding things in place during projects. They stick to any steel surface firmly and can handle surprisingly heavy items. No more drilling holes or installing hooks for every little thing. Just slap a magnet on and hang what you need. The rectangular shape is more practical than round magnets for a lot of applications. They sit flat, they line up easily, and they provide a solid surface area for mounting. Stacking them increases holding power if you need even more strength for heavier loads. Build quality is solid. These are not cheap magnets that chip or lose their strength over time. The nickel plating protects them from corrosion and they have maintained full strength since I got them. Neodymium magnets are strong by nature but these feel well made on top of that. Be careful handling them because they will pinch you if you let them snap together unexpectedly. The strength that makes them useful also makes them potentially dangerous if you are not paying attention. Keep them away from electronics and credit cards too. Powerful magnets and those things do not mix. For anyone needing serious holding power for projects, organization, or industrial applications, these magnets deliver. The strength is impressive and the rectangular shape makes them versatile. Worth having a set around for whenever you need something to stay put no matter what.

Be careful! These are powerful and if you slide them out of the bracket they will snap together so forcefully that they will crack themselves into pieces. But they work very well.

These magnets are very strong together, making them difficult to pull apart, which can be frustrating. That being said, the instructions did mention the best way to accomplish this, so points for that, but it still takes patience, strength and leverage. The magnets and accompanying screws came in a nice plastic case and were unbroken. No damage came to the magnets when I was forcing them apart, although I could not remove a magnet from its metal casing. My project: I needed to stack a few strong magnets together to screw to a door stop in the jamb to hold a full-access bifold door closed at the center. I already had a magnet for the end of the door, which was working fine, but the center of the door would not pull shut fully, making the door "bulge" at the center "seam" when closed, and the door was not inset close enough to the door stop in the jamb. By stacking these together, they not only hold well to the metal plate attached to the door, but are at the right distance from the door stop to the door, creating an evenly closed door. Hooray! I described this usage because the tiny M3 screws that came with the magnets were not long enough to hold 4 stacked magnets in place. I had to find and purchase 40-50mm M3 screws to accomplish this and, believe me, they are hard to locate, unless you need carriage bolts, which are not self-tapping. As other reviews have mentioned, it would have been better if longer screws had also been included, since it's possible the tiny screws would not necessarily have enough bite into wood to firmly mount the magnet. I will update this review if anything changes in terms of the magnets' efficacy.

Very strong, but break easily and the screw hole is teeny tiny. If you want to mount these to something you'll want to go deeper than the screws provided considering they are tiny... It's hard to find screws that will go deep enough to withstand the strength of the magnet, and the ones it comes with just don't quite cut it. If you want to put fingerpaints on the fridge, these are way way overkill... Like these will hold a shotgun to the wall easy... But when you pull the shotgun off the wall the screws will certainly not hold :)... Not saying I know first hand.

Strong and work well but careful not to screw too tight or they will break. I use these on the sides of shelves above and on my work bench. They hold everything from pliers to my 2lb mini sledge hammer. I recommend drilling pilot holes so you can feel when the screws make contact and then STOP TURNING or they will break. Even the broke ones have still held up to use.

I’m very unhappy with this purchase. I haven’t begun to use them for their intended purpose and three out of four are already broken just from touching and separating them. This requires super glue to hold the pieces of broken magnet to the frame. The magnets are extremely strong; however, they’re also extremely fragile.

Very strong little magnets that I used to hang phone system on SS refrigerator. Odd application but it did the job well.

These narrow magnets were used to replace a $190.00 set of magnets to keep a lid closed,they actually worked better,stronger than the ones that came in my Western Star to keep the DEF compartment closed,and I saved a bunch of money,easy to mount.
