You will need 8 AA batteries and an A23 for the remote. It looks like you can use an app but I had to dig through their website to see what app they recommend, and it still wouldn't play sounds from my phone. They also require you to sign up for promotions when you register the product for the warranty which feels scummy. Haven't even used it yet and it already put a bad taste in my mouth

I have never used a call before. Friday night, we went out and I set this up, used the cottontail calls (two sounds at the same time), and had a bobcat come right to it within about 20 minutes and a couple owls. I set it by a tree and did not use the decoy, although I set it up on our next sit. It has a light for the decoy that I didn't know which is super cool. You can pause or stop the sounds as well as adjust the volume with the remote. You can also start and stop the decoy with the remote. The only thing I read and paid attention to is the on/off button on the remote. It sticks far out, so pay attention, tape it in place, or remove the battery if walking around a lot. I carry a backpack with everything needed. It is definitely plenty loud enough for Florida type areas. Maybe if you're in a state with massive open lands and need it louder, it has an auxiliary speaker jack. I highly recommend this call. It works and is a blast to use.

This is very clear and sometimes when I use it in the pasture the cows crowd around it and try to attack it.

Absolutely junk not worth the money it costs to ship let alone costs to buy. Range from remote to base is advertised as 300 yards / feet. Was having issues reliably connecting at 150 feet. Call selection was fine but getting it to connect was unreliable. The A27 battery selection for the remote is BS, because hardly no one has them and they are not as common at the manufacture says. Battery life in colder weather sucks balls. Save your money and just buy a fox pro call. This model and company are junk, very unsatisfied with every aspect of this call. Value for money is nonexistent, the battery compartment is not user friendly, and use is unreliable.
