An absolute delight
What an absolute delight that book is!Georgie goes back to her hometown to reinvent herself, at least that is what she tells herself since she has no idea what and how she is supposed to do that. But a suprise is waiting for her when she get to her home, her paretns are on vacation and have let a man to stay while they were away since he is fixing up his house. After a disastterous and adorable first and second meeting they ended up living together as roommates. This is one of my favourite forced proximity scenarios and I think this book excellent in it.Levi was a absolute sweetheart, he deserves all the love. he has been treated so badly from the people that were supposed to be there for him and that tends ro leave scars.Georgie is a work in progress, she needs time to find herself and with the help of a notebook she wrote as a teenager she hopes to achieve that.Georgie and Levi have one of the sweetest romances and they don't lack in the steam department. The time they spend together recreating teenage moments is a lovely way that bring them closer.Levi has been firmly cemented himself as a book boyfriend, the things he thinks about Georgie only rival the things he declares to her.The truth is, Georgie, the way I love you—that’s the sort of love I don’t ever want to contain. This is one of the best books I read so far this year and I have a good feeling that it will stay in that list for the rest of the year.

Small town girl
This was a fabulous character read told from the dual viewpoints of Georgie and Levi starting when Georgie returns to her hometown after her last PA. job ended leaving her feeling a little lost in life. Levi is the local bad boy turned good but these days he lives a very small quiet life sticking mostly to his home and work life. The pair are very different in many ways yet similar in others and this is a great story of personal discovery and moving on. Although I enjoyed the eponymous Georgie’s side I personally really preferred Levi’s story with his troubled childhood and fractured family relationships which added a great dimension to the overall book.

sweet but meh
I felt that many of the words in this book were filler. I was bored and cringed a lot, and I’m not entirely convinced that this is the same author of Luck of the Draw, which is by the way, a perfect book. This one just… was ok. I finished it although I skimmed a lot because it was just boring.

Beautifully layered and lyrical
Georgie, who has made a career out of fulfilling others’ needs, find herself jobless and back in the last place she really wants to be, to help her pregnant best friend. There she meets Levi, older brother of her high school crush, and initial awkwardness and wariness gradually becomes something more. The above is a very anodyne description, because my words cannot do justice to what is a beautifully layered and lyrical novel. It’s a well-trampled trope, this one - woman returns to small town from big city and gets more than she bargained for - but here it feels fresh, nuanced, developed in a way that draws the reader in and makes them feel all the big emotions along with the characters. We get both Georgie’s and Levi’s voices, as they wrestle with the events of their pasts affecting their present and future choices, and a wonderful supporting cast including Hank, whose contribution to the story should not be overlooked. I could hardly put it down, and the way it ends, with the full meaning of the title finally becoming clear… such a satisfying read, which I will think about for a while and doubtless return to in the future.

3.5🌟
Georgie, All Along is a two person POV romance following Georgie and Levi. Georgie, blank and uncertain of where her life is going now that her job has come to an end, moves back to her hometown and bumps into Levi, the stern and closed off carpenter, in the local grocers before heading back to her parents house and realising that they're going to be spending a lot more time together.I'm going to start this review by saying that this was a difficult read for me, and I'm unsure whether it was down to the slump I'm currently in or the book itself. Up until chapter 15 or so I wasn't hooked at all and was having to tell myself "do it for book club" whenever I was picking this book up. Then, I don't know what happened, but I was IN IT and I whizzed through the rest.I found the side characters in this book really likeable, especially Hank the dog (I'm always a fan of the dog), but felt that they were maybe too minor and I would have enjoyed them more had they featured more largely in the story. I also enjoyed Georgie and Levi, finding their contrasting personalities really enjoyable - who doesn't love the grumpy x sunshine trope? The dual POVs was unquestionably my favourite thing about this book. Seeing something happen from one perspective and then it switching and hearing how the other character thought kept me interested, especially once I was further into the book.Overall, this book was enjoyable and I'm glad I finished it, but it's not one I'd read again. I would give this a 3.5🌟 rating as I loved the book towards the end, but that slow start has to be reflected.

A Five-star read everyone needs in their lives
A Five-star read everyone needs in their lives. This was a surprise to me, as I hadn’t read this author before and was in a place where I have just read one of the best books this year, so this one I wasn’t expecting much, and it blew me away. I know it’s a simple premise, going home to find yourself and falling for the old school bad boy, but it’s so much more than that, there are so many layers that this story will suck you in and keep you reading till the last page and then leave you bereft when you realise there are no more pages and you have to say goodbye.

all the feels
I only discovered Kate Clayborn this year & I can’t get enough of her. This book is perfect from start to finish.

5 Expansive Georgie stars!
Is it weird that this book is about Georgie but for me it was very much Levi’s story? This story made me cry, and not in a sad way, but in a beautiful way.Georgie is laid off and goes home to try and find herself. She is down on herself for not having any plans for her future and she finds an old journal of all the things she wanted to do but never did in high school. Silly things like watching horror movies she wasn’t allowed to watch, jumping off the old pier, sneaking into the local bar etc. So she sets out to do them. This book is sweet and charming and at first I just didn’t know where we were going with it all. I can get all literary and tell you I felt set a drift in this story like Georgie was but whatever, I’m gushing. It’s slice of life and a slow build. But I fell so in love with Levi Fanning. I need more grumps who are actually just shy introverts. Quiet, unassuming, so caring, and just not sure how to act around people. I appreciated Levi’s inner monologue so much. You could tell he had really done the hard work in therapy. He is the sweetest. (There were some Reid Sutherland vibes) I melted. I also appreciated how he seemed neurodiverse and socially anxious but it wasn’t labeled. I get so tired of the “I have anxiety so xyz” inner monologue. In this you come to understand he sees things differently just by getting to know him. K.C. does this so well like she did in Love Lettering.Don’t get me wrong, I also loved Georgie. She cracked me up. I really enjoyed her meta humor. And her journey was so sweet. I didn't care so much for her and Bel's friendship at first but when it all came together it was so beautiful to see how Georgie loves from the eyes of her best friend. What bumped this book to 5 stars for me was the 3rd act split, which is nuts. I saw the 3rd act conflict right away but when it did come around it was just so real and didn’t go at all how I thought. Levi’s reaction, he knew was immature but an emotion he just couldn’t stop, like self sabotage. And something he had to fight so very hard to overcome to come back to Georgie. It was so real. So relatable. That desperate desire to get over what’s pissing you off and struggling so hard to not be petty when your feelings are hurt. And the way they came back together was so lovely! Also, I need more dogs as plot moppets, that was perfection. Anyway, this lived up to my hopes and dreams!

When you wish with all your heart a character existed!
This is such a great piece of writing that whatever I say won’t be enough to express how much I truly loved this book! Read it if you want to feel your heart wide open!

An easy book to read and love
The author has a way of creating beautifully defined characters who tug at the heartstring. There is no shying away from emotions and so it is easy for a reader to connect. This is a romance but also so much more.Georgie is messy, unsure of herself or so she believes but all the same she puts heart and soul into all she does - a testimony to a good upbringing where knowing she was loved overrode anything else.Levi is the opposite and his journey to growth difficult but the two together make for wonderful reading. The author gives depth and reasons for actions and readers relate. From relate to connect is an easy step.Highly recommend

So much fun
This was a lot of fun. I liked the characters and the plot. It went through the basic rom com arc, but I liked how it was also about them figuring out who they were.
