Looking for the decorative item to add a new feature to the new place and my friend recommended this. Ordered it with a bit of doubt but it disappeared it after I see the whole thing upon arrival. This is so cute and giving the vibe. We plan to place it by the entrance door to put the keys in place. The material is sturdy and I don’t think this will break or chip easily. Will definitely buy again for the friends as a gift next time.

I was looking for a catchall for my keys, wallet, etc. when I got home. I didn't want a plain old leather square so, when I saw this hungry, hungry, Kiiwaa hippo, I had to have it!The statue is made of resin and gold and "tarnish" green color finish. I wish they had made more of a natural hippo color, but it does look cool. The mouth is wide open and it holds a LOT! It is just under 6 inches wide and 5.5 inches front to back and about 2 inches high from the bottom to the height of the lip. Not a bid deal for me as I am throwing stuff in there that won't spill out but, if you are using it as a candy/food dish, just something to be aware of beforehand.I have had other resin statues that had fingerprints, streaking and sagging that was very noticeable in the finish. The resin is nicely done with no clumping, streaks or spots that sagged before it dried. The only exception is the one spot you can see under the base where it can't be seen at all. The base also has four rubber feet so it won't slip on my dresser and scratch the finish.If you are looking for a fun catchall or display piece, this hippo is great. It is unique with it's geometric shape, the finish is nicely done and it will hold a LOT of stuff. For under $30, I think it's a great purchase.
