These worked really well for what I wanted to do with them, which was nothing too complicated. I just wanted something that would let me turn a window a/c unit completely off during the day while I was at work, but switch it back on remotely before I got home so it would be relatively cool without having the a/c use its energy saver mode all day. I used the other outlet to control a floor lamp so I can shut it off from bed or wherever I happen to be.The app was simple to use and it made setup pretty easy. The only annoying part was that I had to disable my MAC filter to allow these smart plugs onto my network, then I had to tediously enter all the authorized MAC addresses again, which is really more of a complaint with my router's software than anything, but it would have been nice if the MAC address came printed in the plug's packaging or somehow accessible from the app.

Great for convenience and laziness
I use these plugs for the lamps in my apartment. They are perfect for when I'm already in bed and don't feel like getting up to turn the lights off. I also use them to mess with my dog when I'm not home. In all seriousness though the plugs are great and the price is really good considering you get two plugs instead of one. The app is easy to use/navigate and I have yet to have any issue with either the app or the plugs themselves.

Worked as advertised.I initially had difficulties setting up but read the comments and help pages. As others pointed out, the KEY is to make sure the Mobile number you use to register the devices is the same as that associated with the owner of the Amazon account. Then follow the remaining directions and it should work.If you did initially register under a different phone number and tried to connect with the Amazon Skill (like I did..you have another step). You must first disable the skill. You have to do that because the skill does not update automatically when you re-registered your equipment. Then enable the skill, putting in the correct cell number and it should work.

They Don't Connect
Giving these a low rating. I'm fairly capable with technology. They require modifying settings on your router and/or phone that open you up to security risks. Don't get all the reviews regarding using the Smart Life app from the Play Store, it has a 3 start rating and doesn't help connect to these plugs. Tried repeatedly to get these plugs to work with my network without success. The Amazon-UAO network never provides an IP address. Look for another product and app.

The price is great! The high pitched ringing drives me crazy!
The first of the two connected without problems. As for the second one, I haven't been able to get the app to see it. The worst part for me is the ringing this little plug produces. There is a very, VERY, V.E.R.Y. high pitched ringing whenever it's plugged in. It drives me crazy! Other electronic power supplies produce the same ringing but they are at a constant pitch. This plug osculates all over the place like a mosquito buzzing around your ears, but at two octaves higher than a mosquitoes buzz.

It's good, but not as good as native products that Alexa supports. You do have to run through another app to get setup, which may not be an issue if this is your only other smart device that is third-party, but if you're not careful you may end up with 10 apps for 10 different companies to manage their own hubs that eventually tie into alexa.

Works great, nice to not have to use a wall switch anymore
Paired these with my Echo dot and use them to turn on and off my living room lights. Downloaded the Life Smart app on my phone and paired the 2 devices and named them which allows me to turn them on and off wherever I am and then using the Alexa app I put them as Skills and gave the voice commands to turn on or off the lights, or turn them on or off individually. Only issue I've had is I changed my router/modem recently and they couldn't connect and I didn't see an easy way to reconnect to the new network. Had to remove the device and re-add them but that was fine and didn't need to touch the Alexa app.

Incredibly fast and easy set up.
Set up first plug in a couple of minutes. Learning curve. I have both Alexa (downstairs) and Google Mini (upstairs). No problem setting plug up on both. Can control lights with phone, Alexa or Mini from anywhere in the house or while out. Two additional plugs took less than a minute each to set up. Gotta get more. I'm impressed.
