Cheap and cheerful but does the job
Value for money wise I think this would be hard to beat, don't get me wrong it has its limitations but for a penny under £33 it works very well. The advert said it needed 6 AA batteries but it actually came with a rechargeable battery pack fitted so that's a bonus. It does feel a bit cheap and plasticky but then it is cheap and made of plastic so not really a surprise. Operation is very simple with just five buttons, two that do IR LED brightness and digital zoom, one on/off button that also switches on/off the red dot function, one for menu and one for taking photos or starting/stopping video (And Micro SD card required). The image is bright and clear and focusing is very simple but work very well. Image view is quite narrow which is obviously worse at close quarters and the IR LED seems to work quite well although that seems to give a narrower field of light than the field of view. Limitations are a relatively small screen with no diopter adjustment so you have to hold the unit about a foot in front of your face which means you are lit up by the screen, if that's a problem for you put a dark cloth over your head and the unit. All in all for £33 what's not to like.
