Read the specs several times before you buy and THEN decide if it fits your needs. It is designed to cool a very small space (see the dimensions in the listing). It's rated at 72w @ 12v which is 6 amps. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a 12V 10A power supply in order to get the maximum cooling potential out if it and still not burn up your power supply. You can use a 12 volt battery but it will be a significant drain. I needed 24x7 cooling so I connected it to a small 12v deep cycle battery and connect that to a battery charger so if the power goes out, it still will work for a time. I'm only cooling down from a few degrees below room temperature for my application and with a temperature control, this works great! Insulate your container for best results.

This is the first peltier I’ve purchased and I’ve had a lot of fun with it. I also think it’s a good deal because you get a lot of heatsink for the price. However I don’t feel like the peltier module itself is efficient enough because it doesn’t get cold as quickly as I’d expect it to. But again for the price I cannot complain. I did an experiment where I took off the small heatsink to expose the cold side directly and put a drop of water. It took a decent amount of time for it to freeze even at full power with the large heatsink on and the fan on.

As the title states. Don't work as good and it's advertised. Not keeping anything cool. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Does cool. Fans are undersized and installed in the wrong direction so they are starved by trying to pull air through the heatsinks. They did better once flipped around to push air into the heatsinks - air exiting out the sides.

Perfect project for cooling electronics, however must also deal with condensation in humid climate. Didn't take that into account and water produced fried components as it got onto the boards. Must channel water produced so it doesn't get into sensitive electronics.

replaced failing unit in a mini wine cooler (~1.5 ft cube). Hooked directly to 12v 10A supply. After several hours temps dropped from 70 degrees ambient to 64 degrees. Was hoping this one would work, but alas, no luck. This may work better if placed in a tiny enclosure. Still looking for a cooler that actually will cool.

It appears to be a well made 12 volt thermal electric cooler. I'm looking to see in which project I will use it in. So far I have not connected it. But appears to be a high quality build product. We will see.

I had this unit for 5 minutes running and stopped working completely dead I had to send it back and get my money back very disappointed even run one fan only not working
