Bee Proof Suits BeeKeeper's Suit Cotton Bee Suit with both Throw Back Hood and Traditional Round Hat Beekeeping Suit Khaki Small

When I started keeping bees I made the mistake of going for top and bottom as separates. The theory was that sometimes I didn't need the full all over body protection. What a mistake. In general (I'm on my third bee suit) I find bee suit material is robust and long-lasting, but the elastic around the wrists, waist and ankle is really, REALLY poor quality and within a short period of time they are so loose a swarm of bees can easily get through (or, in the case of trousers), they keep falling to the ground every few minutes. Not much use when you're trying to avoid multiple bee stings. Why they can't produce bee suits with drawstrings, rather than cheap elastic, I don't know!Anyway, if you are buying a bee suit, my advice is ALWAYS go for an all in one as (especially over time) it only leaves small points of entry (wrists and ankles) that can easily be protected (eg. elastic bands).I bought this bee suit based on this experience and in many ways it over delivers.Positives:+ The material is as good as any other bee suit+ Personally I prefer the hood over the hat+ 100% protection (especially combined with proper bee gloves)+ Has all the elements you would expect (eg. thumb hooks to stop the sleeves riding up and Velcro across neck where hood zips on to avoid leaving a hole for bees to slip through)+ Has ankle zips so you can put it on at the site without having to remove shoes+ Has zips on wrists so you can easily fit over longer glovesNegatives:- My bugbear - elastic still really, REALLY cheap. If it lasts a year I'll be amazed. At least the zips mean that I can put the gloves on underneath which will be another level of protection.Observation: I am 5'8", 40" chest and just over 11 stone and medium (my standard clothes size) is very baggy on me. If you plan on opening and examining the hive(s) mid-winter (really not advisable) with 3/4 layers on it might make sense. Otherwise you may wish to consider a smaller size. It does fit and I will use it, but this product would benefit from other reviewers observations on fit to see if I am ... an exceptionOverall, at <£50 I'm happy with the purchase. No bee suit I've seen so far deserves a 5* due to the pennies all the manufacturers save on elastic which compromises every bee suit I've seen (if anyone can recommend alternatives that address this issue, it would be really great if they could highlight in the comments). As a result, the 4* review is the top review I'll give any bee suit I've seen to date.

I bought a large, I am 6'3 , It fit fine and i am very happy with the quality.I think the large would fit someone another inch taller but after that i think it will cut into your crouch...

The sticking on mine started to come undone after 2 wears. Hand stitched it up rather than sending it back. All round I think its still good valu and I would not expect this to be a fault in all.

Ausnahmsweise mal ein "Kleidungsstück", bei dem die Größenangaben stimmen. Ich habe ihn für mich bestellt, ihn aber dann an meinen Mann weitergegeben, welchem er auch noch recht groß ist. Da die Qualität stimmt und es auf Passform nicht 100%ig ankommt, habe ich ihn behalten.

ausgezeichneter Schutz bei Wetterumschwung wenn die Bienen etwas "nervös" sind. Da ich im Büro arbeite und nicht so gerne mit Stichen in die Arbeit gehe und mir schon mal Bienen in meinen Hut gekommen sind... Super Teil!!!! Preis/Leistung optimal. LG

tissu agréable, livraison rapide, mais taille très grand! le M pour une personne de 1.63m ne convient pas, faut viser un S ou XS..

Protection peu efficace, le tissu est trop fin et on en a pas pour autant moins chaud qu'avec une combi. plus épaisse. La cagoule a tendance à vous coller au visage!!! Elle ne tiendra certainement pas dix ans. Je regrette cet essai, j'aurai du choisir une combi comme d'habitude aux alentours de 100€...

Einfach nur gut. Rundherum absolut dichter Anzug. Angenehm zu tragen, da 100% Baumwolle. Die Wahl, gleich einen Komplettanzug zu nehmen mit integrierter Kapuze, war goldrichtig.Ich hatte ein Wespennest am Haus direkt über dem Balkon. Hier die Feuerwehr o.ä. zu bestellen hätte mich mehr bürokratischen Aufwand gekostet als sonst was. Und dieses Gelaber von Naturschutz interessiert mich sowieso nicht. Ich musste die Biester einfach los werden. Sonst hätte ich meinen Balkon gar nicht mehr benutzen wollen/können.Es gibt da wohl Spezialisten, die das erledigen, wo man aber unter 200€ nicht davon kommt.Einfach diesen Anzug bestellt und das richtige Wespenmittel (Blattanex-Schaum von Bayer) und die Drecks-Viecher waren weg.Ich stellte zwar fest, dass ich diesen Anzug gar nicht gebraucht hätte, da bei richtiger Anwendung des Blattanex-Schaumes die Wepsen gar nicht aus dem Net raus können. Aber man fühlt sich einfach sicherer.

Ich hatte einige Wespennester am Haus, die ich umsiedeln wollte. Zum Schutz vor Stichen ist dieser Anzug gekauft worden. An sich bin ich sehr zufrieden. Dank der Gummibänder an Armen und Beinen, schließt der Anzug gut ab. Durch das Gitter kann man sehr gut sehen und der Anzugsstoff macht einen guten Eindruck was Haltbarkeit und Stichsicherheit angeht.. Einzig die etwas "wabbellige" Haube stört etwas. Sie ist nicht wie das Bild vermuten lässt komplett steif sondern rutscht vor und zurück.Ich hab einfach eine Cappy mit dem Schild nach hinten drunter angezogen, dann hat alles gepasst und nichts ist mehr verrutscht.

hab bereits einen Tag nach der Lieferung einen Härte Test beim Schwarm fangen unternommen und war etwas skeptisch aber bin bis dato ohne einen einzigen Stich davon gekommen, Super Teil da leicht zum handhaben!

Der Anzug ist top. Komplettschutz und gute Sicht. Leider wurde (absichtlich?) eine falsche Größe geschickt. Der XL-Anzug war doppelt verpackt. Im Innern mit Aufdruck XL, außen mit einem abgeschnittenen XXL-Aufkleber. Vom ersten X waren noch die Reste zu erkennen.

I purchased a size large to be sure I'd have easy movement over my husband's clothes and it's perfect. He's 5' 9" and 180lbs. The suit could easily fit a 6' person. He wasn't sure he'd like the attached hood but that turned out to be fine as well. He hasn't kept bees since he did so with his grandfather 50 years ago and finds the experience both nostalgic and soothing. The bees land all over him and swirl about his head and he's able to simply tend to business. Fits great, zippers and Velcro all work as expected. A great buy for the money.

Ordered two suits to replace two poor quality suits I got from another seller. Took a risk on these more expensive ones.The zipper on one of them was fully dysfunctional before even getting to use it. It fell apart and came off quickly. The track for the zipper itself is not sturdy or in tact anymore.The second suit developed a hole in the pants within 3 uses. Needless to say, I wont be using either suit, but maybe they'll make good smoker fuelWe are in Winter right now so I can't check bees often. 1 month for return basically means you get what you get. I only got to check the bees once within a month of getting these. Do yourself a favor and don't buy these suits if you can't test it out for yourself within a few days of getting it. That's what I did with the last suits but this time I got stuck with another set of crappy suits and have to keep them now

Bought this for my wife when we first started beekeeping. This is simply overkill. She wore it only once before realizing that not only is it unnecessary, but you will die from heat exhaustion if you wear this in the summertime. It appears well made and will do the job - but unless you are working in a commercial environment where you have hundreds of hives and no time to be gentle with them.. there is absolutely no reason to purchase this.
