Super cool looking, complicated but detailed set. Bought it as a gift for a child around 10 years old. We had a lot of fun putting it together, but this is a collectors item/display piece, not necessarily a toy. It is somewhat fragile, and some of the pieces are easily disconnected if handled. Also, the pilot doesn’t really fit in the cockpit.Still it’s a very nice, large, faithful reproduction of the movie prop.Just keep in mind what and who it was designed for.

Fantastic set that looks great on display. A must have for any Star Wars fan. Attaching the wings is a bit finicky, but the end product is beautiful. Grab this set before the price skyrockets.

As with any LEGO item, the instructions were good and it was fun to build. But to be honest, I bought it mostly becasue they are planning on retiring this set.

Probably not news, but this is extremely delicate. I’m afraid to move it.

Potential customers should know that this version of the X-Wing is not a "play set" by any means. It is fragile and somewhat flimsy. The build is fun overall but building the wings out is quite repetitive and installing them is pretty stressful as the whole model shakes while you do so.With the finished model - while it looks great - if I walk anywhere near it the wings start to shake. Another reviewer I think said it best in that this is set you build and then you display it and never touch it again.I would not say this is a very stable model. In truth I think I'd go for a smaller model that has more playability.Unlike other UCS sets the placard is PRINTED. There are only 4 stickers in the set, which is great.The closed position of the X-Wing is not perfect and it shows large gaps where the wings attach in the closed position.Overall I love the set but I wouldn't be comfortable letting someone pick it up and handle it, which I'd have no problem with with something like my Saturn V.
